Dolphins Week 10 rooting guide: Who should Miami pull for during the bye?

Miami’s on their bye, but here’s who fans should be pulling for this weekend.

The Miami Dolphins have the weekend off, as they enjoy a much-need bye week in Week 10. With a 6-3 record, they lead the AFC East, but the Buffalo Bills, who are behind them are just one game back.

A number of other teams are still taking the field this weekend, and the results of their games will certainly affect Miami’s playoff odds and scenarios with just under half of the 2023 campaign remaining.

Below is our rooting guide for this weekend’s slate of games while the Dolphins enjoy their time away from the gridiron.

Saints 53-man roster for Week 10 vs. Vikings

There are few changes to the New Orleans Saints’ 53-man roster for Week 10’s game with the Minnesota Vikings. The team is in remarkably great shape, especially at the top of the depth chart — they just don’t have many injuries to deal with at midseason for once.

That’s not to say some reinforcements won’t be brought up from the practice squad in time for Sunday’s game. But the starting lineup won’t look much different from what fans saw at the start of the season, except for Andrus Peat filling in at left tackle after Trevor Penning was benched. Here’s the 53-man roster as it stands going into the Vikings game:

Texans activate CB Derek Stingley from injured reserve

The Houston Texans have activated cornerback Derek Stingley from injured reserve.

The Houston Texans are getting back a key defensive back for their showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10.

The Texans activated second-year cornerback Derek Stingley from injured reserve. The former No. 3 overall pick had missed the past six games with a hamstring injury.

Through the first two games, Stingley collected nine combined tackles.

The Texans also guard Dieter Eiselen from the practice squad to the active roster.

Houston listed tight end Dalton Keene and kicker Matt Ammendola as their two standard practice squad elevations for Week 10.

The Texans also placed kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn on injured reserve with a quad injury.

Houston waived tackle Austin Deculus from the active roster.

Bucs Wire staff picks for Week 10 against the Titans

Here’s how we predicted Tampa Bay’s Sunday matchup against the Tennessee Titans will go:

From here on out, every game is a “must-win” game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

That may sound silly, but the Bucs are 3-5 and in the midst of a four game slide, and a team that once had playoff aspirations and a division lead is now sinking when it’s supposed to swim. The Tennessee Titans, too, are 3-5, but they bring a new rookie quarterback to fold in Will Levis. If the Bucs win this game, they move to 4-5 and maintain a thread of hope in a dreadful NFC South — lose, and they’ll be 3-6 with the next game on the road against the San Francisco 49ers.

Here’s how we see a potentially massive game on Tampa Bay’s slate going on Sunday:

Who wins the Week 10 game between the Bucs and the Titans?

Cast your vote in our poll to predict the winner of Week 10’s Bucs vs. matchup!

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are, to put it lightly, in trouble.

The team had NFC South aspirations heading into its by Week at 3-1, but it hasn’t won since. Head coach Todd Bowles is under a considerable amount of fire for his recent coaching and the Bucs defense has seemingly taken a huge step back, so this upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans could be a big one in determining how the rest of the season goes from here.

Like the Bucs, the Titans are also 3-5, but they’ve recently made a big change. They’re set to promote quarterback Will Levis to starter for the rest of the year after his two recent performances, so he’ll have a chance to solidify his standing against a faltering Bucs defense.

According to BetMGM, the Bucs are one-point favorites against the Titans. The over-under is set at 39.5.

Will the Bucs finally end their four-game skid against the second rookie quarterback they’ve seen in two weeks? Or will the Titans get their first win on the road for 2023?

Analyzing the final Saints injury report for Week 10 vs. Vikings

Analyzing the final Saints injury report for Week 10 vs. Vikings: Who’s in, who’s out, and who has a chance to play?

We’re looking at two teams in very different injury situations going into Week 10. The New Orleans Saints have all but two hands on deck for Sunday’s matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, who listed five players as questionable on the final injury report with a sixth doubtful to suit up and a seventh preemptively ruled out.

And that’s after Minnesota placed several key players on injured reserve earlier in the season like defensive end Marcus Davenport, quarterback Kirk Cousins, and running back Cam Akers. Let’s analyze the latest game statuses for all players listed on the injury report by the Saints and Vikings:

Saints reveal uniform combo for Week 10 vs. Vikings

Biggest news of the day: the New Orleans Saints revealed their Week 10 uniform combo for Sunday’s game with the Minnesota Vikings

The New Orleans Saints announced the biggest news of the week on Friday: which uniforms they’ll be wearing for Sunday’s game with the Minnesota Vikings. The Saints will be pairing their white away jerseys with black pants in Week 10, which has been one of their winningest uniform combos since 2006 — they’ve gone 43-28 in games while wearing these kits.

Jokes aside, it’s a very common look for the Saints. They’ve used these uniforms in 71 of their last 300 games (including the playoffs), second only to the black-and-black combo worn in last week’s win over the Chicago Bears (and 89 games dating back to 2006).

Here’s how the Saints’ winning percentage in this combination stacks up to the other kits in their wardrobe, if you’re curious (not including the controversial gold jerseys used in a loss back in 2003):

Storylines headed into the Saints vs. Viking game don’t revolve around the teams as individual units. It’s primarily about where they currently stand and what this game can do for them. Kirk Cousins’ injury provides the lone exception.

There are some similarities between these teams. They currently have identical records and would make the playoffs if the ended today. They’re both also entering this game looking to extend their longest win streaks of the season.

As it turns out, Higgins and Hubbard are two of the biggest names set to miss the game against the Houston Texans, while Chase is a 50-50 shot after making nice progress from his back injury.
