Nick Bosa and Chase Young laughed about getting a combined sack together in their 49ers reunion

Just like old times at Ohio State for Nick Bosa and Chase Young.

Adding Chase Young at the NFL trade deadline was the definition of the rich getting richer. Even amid a three-game losing streak, the San Francisco 49ers did not necessarily need to add a pass-rusher like Young. But adding someone of his ability undoubtedly made the San Francisco front seven more dangerous in a Super Bowl push. It also reunited Young with former Ohio State teammate Nick Bosa, who used to collapse pockets together all the time with the Buckeyes.

Early in the second quarter, during the 49ers’ matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, we received a great flashback of the destruction Bosa and Young once created together on a weekly basis.

As Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed his drop, both Bosa and Young were busily humbling both Jaguars starting offensive tackles. They wound up meeting Lawrence together for a devastating sack (a half-sack for each) that now feels like a preview of what the duo will accomplish together in the NFL.

Fittingly, Bosa and Young laughed about the combined sack on the 49ers’ bench after the fact:

Look, any time you can pair two former No. 2 overall picks together on the same defense, that’s an opportunity you can’t pass up. It looks like reuniting Bosa and Young is already paying off dividends for the 49ers.

WATCH: Rachaad White takes screen pass 43 yards to the house

White continues to prove he’s a weapon if used in space.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers weapon Rachaad White has proven once again that when you get him in space, he can produce for you.

White took a screen pass from Baker Mayfield with a little under six minutes left in the first half 43 yards to the end zone to give the Bucs their first score of the day. Center Robert Hainsey and guard Cody Mauch led the blocking charge, and White wove through the defense and dove for the pylon for the score. The play was notable against the Titans defense, as it was only the second passing touchdown an opposing running back has scored against Tennessee this year.

Check out the highlight below:

WATCH: Texans QB C.J. Stroud throws TD pass to WR Tank Dell against the Bengals

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud threw a touchdown pass to receiver Tank Dell against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10.

The Houston Texans’ rookie connection is one of the more entertaining aspects to emerge in the 2023 season.

When will C.J. Stroud find Tank Dell and how many times?

It only took until 10:40 in the second quarter for the Texans’ rookie duo to connect. Facing a first-and-goal from the 6-yard line against the Cincinnati Bengals, Stroud found Dell for Houston’s first touchdown of the game, which helped them pull 7-7 following kicker Matt Ammendola’s field goal.

Dell caught six passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns the week prior. Stroud and Dell have connected on a total of four touchdowns coming into Week 10.

Saints say Michael Thomas (knee) questionable to return vs. Vikings

The New Orleans Saints say wide receiver Michael Thomas is questionable to return against the Minnesota Vikings with a knee injury:

The New Orleans Saints announced at the end of the first quarter that wide receiver Michael Thomas would be questionable to return against the Minnesota Vikings with a knee injury.

He received an extended look from team medical staff in the blue sideline tent and was spotted on the bench with his position coach Kodi Burns reviewing plays on a tablet. He was wearing a ball cap, not a helmet, during their first possession in the second quarter.

Thomas exiting did open an opportunity for rookie draft pick A.T. Perry, who caught his first NFL reception to gain 23 yards. But Perry was targeted later and lost his footing on the U.S. Bank Stadium turf, leading to an incomplete pass. He needs more experience.

Update: The Saints announced after halftime that Thomas would not return, having ruled him out for the rest of the game.

Kyle Hamilton’s pick-6 off Deshaun Watson was so absurd that the camera couldn’t even keep up

Not even the broadcast expected Deshaun Watson to be so terrible!

The Baltimore Ravens have arguably the NFL’s top defense specifically because they harass quarterbacks to no end. During Sunday’s matchup with the Cleveland Browns, Deshaun Watson — who once faced more than 20 allegations of sexual misconduct — would assuredly be no different.

And it took almost no time at all.

On Cleveland’s second offensive snap of the game, Watson tried to hit tight end David Njoku on a quick dump-off. The problem for Watson was that Baltimore safety Kyle Hamilton saw the play coming and jumped the passing lane perfectly. Hamilton read the play so well, in fact, that he tipped the ball to himself and walked in a pick-six that even the Fox broadcast camera failed to keep track of.

I’m still marveling at the absurdity of this athleticism by Hamilton:

Here’s another Madden-like first-person angle showing how quickly Hamilton embarrassed Watson:

I mean, my goodness. Has there been a better interception during the entire 2023 NFL season? Will there even be a better pick by the time Super Bowl 58 concludes? I have my doubts.

Watch: Joe Burrow hits Trenton Irwin for fifth-consecutive opening-drive TD

A big opening touchdown for the Bengals.

The fast starts continue for the Cincinnati Bengals.

This time, it’s Joe Burrow hitting Trenton Irwin with a touchdown strike to take an early lead over the Houston Texans in Week 10.

That connection makes it five games in a row that the Bengals have hit on opening-drive touchdowns, with Cincinnati going on to win the last four as Burrow looks all the way back from his calf injury.

More impressive? Tee Higgins was inactive on the day and Ja’Marr Chase, after entering the game as questionable, was simply a decoy in the slot for this touchdown connection to Irwin.

A look at the play and funny Burrow celebration:

Instant analysis: Patriots bench Mac Jones and still lose 10-6 to Colts

Mac Jones got benched, Bailey Zappe got his chance to play hero and the Patriots still lost 10-6 to the Colts.

For a second straight week the New England Patriots faced one of the worst scoring defenses in the NFL, and for a second straight week, they failed to score more than 17 points in a 10-6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

There’s no need in worrying if the Patriots could tank enough losses to get a top-three pick in the 2024 NFL draft because they’re already there. Per Tankathon, if the season ended today, the Patriots would hold the No. 3 overall pick of the draft.

Yikes.

The biggest headline coming out of the game will undoubtedly be the benching of quarterback Mac Jones. This wasn’t a situation where the Patriots were getting blown out, and Jones was pulled from a chance to compile garbage stats, either.

The game was on the line with it being the final drive for the Patriots, and coach Bill Belichick decided to pull his starting quarterback for backup Bailey Zappe.

It was a chance for Zappe to shake things up and earn himself more playing time in future games. Yet, he stepped right up and showed why the Patriots have been so reluctant to pull Jones from the starting position.

Zappe isn’t good enough.

But Jones also isn’t good enough. No one is good enough for the Patriots. Owner Robert Kraft looked dejected when watching the game from the stands.

The only saving grace was the Patriots defense, which continued to overcome the injury bug by holding the Colts’ seventh-ranked scoring offense to only 10 points. But their incredible effort was completely negated by bad quarterback play from Jones, who finished with a paltry 170 passing yards and one interception.

There were at least two plays that should have been touchdown passes in the back of the end zone, but Jones missed both of them, including one ending in a backbreaking interception in the red zone late in the fourth quarter.

The Patriots will have an extra week to sit on this loss with the bye week coming up.

Some big decisions are obviously coming in the offseason regarding the future of the team. However, given the way the team looked on Sunday, earlier changes in the bye week might not be out of the question.

WATCH: Demario Davis addresses the Saints pregame hurdle in Week 10

WATCH: Demario Davis addresses the Saints pregame hurdle before kickoff with the Vikings in Week 10

We’re minutes away from kickoff between the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings, and All-Pro linebacker Demario Davis is here to lead the way. Davis addressed his teammates in their traditional pregame huddle from U.S. Bank Stadium, delivering a speech to get everyone hyped up. It’s a practice he took over from Drew Brees who led the huddle each week for a decade.

And he’s someone who leads by example. There aren’t many linebackers who play every down for their defense, and even fewer of them do so after turning 34. Davis has beaten Father Time thus far, and the Saints will be counting on him to do it again on Sunday against the Vikings.

Bucs Game: Live updates from Bucs vs. Titans in Week 10

If you can’t catch the action, follow along with us live from Raymond James Stadium as the Bucs play a crucial game against the Titans.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been freefalling the four weeks, and they can’t afford to fall any further.

The team will attempt to grab hold of something to stop a four-game losing streak continue on Sunday when they go up against the Tennessee Titans. The team remains just two games out of contention for first place in the NFC South, but another loss could be the beginning of the end for Tampa Bay. The Titans will wheel out rookie quarterback Will Levis, who was just named the full-time starter in Tennessee, and the Bucs will look to limit him as much as possible on Sunday after a disastrous performance against another rookie QB in C.J. Stroud last week.

If you can’t catch the action, we’re giving live updates from each drive here at Raymond James Stadium. Follow along below!

Bucs inactives list for Week 10 at Titans

A starting corner for Tampa Bay is out and it looks as if the Bucs will use a different rotational running back against the Titans Sunday.

The Bucs will be without one of their starting cornerbacks on Sunday.

Cornerback Carlton Davis was officially ruled out with the inactives list on Sunday, suffering from a toe injury. He was listed as questionable to play, but he’s not gonna make it — as such, CB Zyon McCollum will take his place. Jamel Dean, who has been in concussion protocol all week, will play. CB Keenan Isaac was elevated from the practice squad to serve as depth today.

Guard Matt Feiler will also be out while still recovering from a knee injury. Interestingly enough, running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn is inactive, meaning that undrafted free agent Sean Tucker could get the nod as the team’s rotational back.

Here is Tampa Bay’s inactives list:

  • #11 QB John Wolford (3QB)
  • #21 RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn
  • #24 CB Carlton Davis III
  • #32 DB Josh Hayes
  • #71 G Matt Feiler
  • #89 TE David Wells
