Ravens’ linebacker Kyle Van Noy says he’s felt “under-appreciated” for most his career

Ravens’ linebacker Kyle Van Noy says he’s felt “under-appreciated” for most of his NFL career

Outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy is thrilled to be returning to the Baltimore Ravens this upcoming season. Having played 11 years in the NFL, the Super Bowl Champion Van Noy relishes the opportunity to be a part of such a positive franchise.

Van Noy rallied nine total sacks last season, operating on and off the line of scrimmage. Van Noy’s versatility is vital to the Ravens’ defensive attack, which frequently uses twist concepts and pre-snap deception to confuse the opposing offensive and their pass-block scheme.

Van Noy claims he felt “underappreciated” by other teams to the Ravens’ press earlier this month. Van Noy claimed that his ability to cover skill players in the past and by a force as a pass rusher should’ve made him a a hotter commodity. Fortunately enough, the franchise he is currently signed to understands his talents and helped him record a career-high in sacks last year.

Van Noy is excited about playing under new defensive coordinator Zach Orr and has enjoyed building relationships with young players like all-pro safety Kyle Hamilton. Van Noy signed a two-year $9 million extension with earlier this spring. Perhaps the Ravens appreciate Van Noy more than other teams did.

Patrick Mahomes better run from Ravens DT Justin Madubuike

Baltimore Ravens DT Justin Madubuike led his team with 13 sacks this season. Can Patrick Mahomes escape his wrath?

Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Justin Madubuike led his team with 13 sacks this season. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes better avoid him at all costs in the AFC Championship.

The Ravens rank No. 1 in the NFL in total sacks with 60. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid better hope Mahomes has enough dance moves to shake off the blitz of Ravens’ defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald.

MacDonald shouldn’t hesitate to blitz Mahomes on passing downs, especially with Chiefs’ offensive guard Joe Thurney ruled out. Ravens’ linebackers Odafe Oweh and Jadeaveon Clowney will work to contain Mahomes inside and Madubuike may get a few clean-up sacks if Mahomes thinks he’ll be able to climb.

Madubuike will look to pummel Mahomes and halt the Chiefs run game in the AFC Championship. It’s almost game time.

The Baltimore Ravens held the Jacksonville Jaguars offense to just one touchdown Sunday night.

Defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald used a plethora of pass rush concepts to rattle Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawerence.

The Ravens are now allowing just 16.1 points per game and rank No.1 in the NFL in that category.

Ravens DT Justin Madubuike just keeps getting sacks

Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Justin Madubuike managed to record yet another sack in the week 14 win over the Rams.

Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Justin Madubuike managed to record yet another sack in the week 14 win over the Rams. Madubuike continues to be disruptive versus the run as well, working as a key component in what has statistically been the best defensive team in the AFC.

Madubuike is now tied for No. 10 in the NFL in total sacks for 2023 and the Ravens lead the entire league in that category. The team has thrived under defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald’s system and after recording just 5.5 sacks in 2022, Madubuike has already surpassed that number in 2023.

At just the age of 26, Madubike is still operating under a four-year $4.853 million deal he signed in 2020. He’s scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent in 2024 and if the Ravens stamp his career with an AFC and/or Super Bowl championship this year, Madubuike is likely to get a favorable contract in free agency.  The Ravens already attempted to sign him to an extension according to ESPN and now, Madubuike has the entire league on watch as he continues to perform at a high level.
