A game that just about amounts to an elimination game for both the New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks is quietly one of the more intriguing matchups of the penultimate week of the NFL regular season. The Jets are favored on the road, but do the experts at NFL Pick Watch feel the same way?

Not so much. 44% of the experts at the site are taking the Jets to keep their season alive, while 56% believe the Seahawks will officially eliminate the Jets.

It’s not quite the closest margin among all the matchup. That belongs to the 55/45 split between the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills on Monday night. The largest gap is a near-unanimous vote (99%) for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Denver Broncos.

41% of the votes are taking the Jets to cover a 1.5-point spread.

By the way, 66% of the picks are favoring the New England Patriots over the Miami Dolphins, a result the Jets hope is the reverse. A Patriots loss Sunday means the Jets just need to win their last two games to make the playoffs. They would still make the playoffs if they win their last two and the Patriots lose to the Bills in Week 18.

How the experts are viewing Jets vs. Lions in Week 15

How the experts are viewing Jets vs. Lions in Week 15

The New York Jets take on the Detroit Lions in Week 15 in a matchup of two former highly-drafted quarterbacks in Zach Wilson and Jared Goff.

How do the experts over at NFL Pick Watch view this tight matchup? Let’s take a look.

The Jets are seeing too much love from the experts here. Only 36% of the picks are going in favor of the Jets straight up. The matchup is one of the closer margins among the matchup, despite the ratio being close to 2-to-1. Only Ravens-Browns (54%-46%) and Patriots-Raiders (59%-41%) have closer margins.

In terms of picks against the spread, even as the favorite, only 39% of the experts are taking the Jets to cover the 1-point spread, compared to 61% taking the Lions with the one point.

Perhaps it’s the Zach Wilson effect, or at the very least, the uncertainly all week at the quarterback position. We’ll see Sunday if the Jets can surprise these pickers and score a huge victory in their quest for their first postseason trip since 2010.

How the experts are viewing Jets vs. Bills in Week 14

How the experts are viewing Jets vs. Bills in Week 14

The New York Jets are clear underdogs for their Week 14 rematch with the Buffalo Bills in the sportsbooks. They are also clear underdogs in the eyes of the experts over at NFL Pick Watch, as well.

The Bills are a near-unanimous pick at the site to beat the Jets. A whopping 97% of the votes are swinging Buffalo’s way, the second-most popular pick among all the game. Only the Dallas Cowboys saw a higher percentage — not that you can get much higher than 97% — as 98% of the picks went in their favor as they take on the 1-10-1 Houston Texans.

The experts do think the Jets may keep it somewhat close, however, 67% of the experts are taking the Jets with the 10-point spread, compared to just 33% picking the Bills to cover.

We’ll find out Sunday if the Jets can pull the upset for the second time this season and score their first season sweep of the Bills since 2016, and if that 3% will have bragging rights for the week.

Experts heavily favoring Bengals over Jets in Week 3

Jets once again not well-liked by pickers at NFL Pick Watch

Perhaps the folks over at NFL Pick Watch either still aren’t fully in on the Jets or believe the Bengals have just been dealing with a stretch of bad luck over the first two weeks of the season. Either way, a vast majority of the picks are siding with the Bengals to get their first win of the season.

For the third straight week, less than 10% of the votes at NFL Pick Watch are taking the Jets. Just 9% think the Jets will get to 2-1 with a win over the 0-2 Bengals, who have lost both games this season on a last-second field, first to the Steelers in overtime in Week 1 and then last week against the Cowboys.

A third of the pickers are taking the Jets +6 against the spread. The Jets are 1-1 so far this season against the spread, having won as an underdog last week against the Browns.

The Jets saw almost no support from the folks at NFL Pick Watch heading into last week against the Ravens and they easily proved them right, losing 24-9 after the game got away from them in the second half.

This week, it’s the first road trip of the regular season as the Jets head to Cleveland to take on the Browns and, just like last week, very few experts are taking the Jets to get the win.

92 percent of the votes in this matchup are favoring the Browns, which at least is a fraction smaller than last week’s ratio, but still, it’s a 9-to-1 ratio for Cleveland, who is coming off a wild win in Week 1 over the Carolina Panthers.

In looking at the picks against the spread, many more pickers think the Jets will at least keep the game close. 47 percent are taking the Jets with the 6.5 points. We’ll see if the Jets are able to keep this one close or if things get ugly yet again.

Experts heavily favoring Ravens over Jets in Week 1

Jets get very little love from experts at NFL Pick Watch

Just about anyone you talk to will say they’re taking the Ravens to beat the Jets in Week 1. That includes nearly everyone over at NFL Pick Watch.

A whopping 98 percent of picks at NFL Pick Watch are siding with Lamar Jackson and company straight up. That is the biggest disparity in a game between teams. The other teams seeing at least 90 percent support are the 49ers (at Chicago), Colts (at Houston), Chiefs (at Arizona) and Broncos (at Seattle).

The favoring of the Ravens drops a bit when talking against the spread, but even still, 76 percent of the experts are taking the Ravens to cover the 6.5-point spread. So not only do the experts think the Ravens will win, they think they’ll win pretty comfortably.

Will the Ravens hold serve in New York? Or will the Jets make Daniel Jeremiah look like a genius? We’ll find out Sunday.

‘Experts’ very confident in Bills over Jets on Sunday

The so called “experts” certainly seem confident in the Buffalo Bills heading into 2020…

… or perhaps they’re just very, very underwhelmed looking at the New York Jets.

More of these experts are picking the Bills to win against the Jets than any other game this upcoming Sunday.

Overall, of analysts surveyed, 95 percent of them have picked the Bills to top the Jets. In fact, the only team that had a higher percentage of confidence in them from the poll was the Chiefs, who routed the Texans on Thursday Night Football to start the season.

If the Bills win and you’re in a… tagging mood… on social media following the game, here’s the few that picked the Jets to pull off the win:. Calvin Watkins (Dallas Morning News), Will Brinson (CBS Sports), Mike Florio (Pro Football Talk), Scott Atkins (Sports Illustrated) and Keith Stewart (College Football News).

According to the folks in Las Vegas, the Bills are 6.5-point favorites heading into this one.
