Seahawks have 2 current players, 2 former players in top 50 merchandise sales

The Seattle Seahawks had a couple of players make the cut, as well as a couple of their former teammates.

The NFLPA has released a list of the top 50 players who had the most merchandise sales over the last year. The reporting period went from March 1, 2023 through February 29, 2024. Naturally, the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs dominate the top of the list, as they met in the Super Bowl just before that period began. The San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins and the Dallas Cowboys are also well represented on the list.

The Seattle Seahawks had a couple of players on their current roster make the cut, as well as a couple of their former teammates. Here’s the complete top 50 list.

Top 20 NFL players in merchandise sales heading into the preseason

What players’ merch is selling like crazy heading into the preseason

There is no offseason for the NFL, and there certainly is no downtime when it comes to stocking up on merchandise for your favorite team or players. Free agency, the draft, and trades can all impact a wardrobe. So which players are in the top tier of merchandise sales heading into the preseason? Let’s take a look…

3 Raiders players make Top-50 in NFL merchandise sales

Josh Jacobs among several Raiders to make Top-50 in NFL merchandise sales

The NFLPA put out their list of the top 50 NFL players in terms of merchandise sales over the past year. Four Raiders players made the list. Here they are in order of highest ranking:

RB Josh Jacobs — 25
TE Darren Waller — 30
QB Derek Carr — 49

The totals were tallied up between March 1, 2021 and February 28, 2022.

Davante Adams made the list at 33, but he was not a member of the Raiders over that calendar year. He joined the Raiders via trade in March, so we can’t really count him as being a Raiders player. Though I’d expect his jersey sales has gone up since changing teams as is often the case.

Carr ranks 20th among quarterbacks in merchandise sales. Ten of the top 11 players on the list were QB’s. Jacobs is the fifth ranked running back while Waller was the third ranked tight end behind George Kittle and Travis Kelce.

3 Raiders make NFL top 50 in merchandise sales

NFLPA top 50 merchandise sales features 3 Raiders players

Today the NFLPA put out their list of the top 50 NFL players in terms of merchandise sales. Three Raiders players made the list, one of whom was in the top 20.

The best merch sales on the Raiders was Josh Jacobs who came in at 17 on the list. Next up was Darren Waller at 31. And finally, Derek Carr who just snuck into the top 50 at 46 overall.

This list is compiled from sales from March 1 – November 30 of last year.

Jacobs and Waller were both coming off their first Pro Bowls and Derek Carr is the entrenched starting quarterback. He was 20th among quarterbacks on the list.

I would like to think that in the next round, we’ll see a surge in Maxx Crosby merchandise sales. He finished the season as the Raiders’ best player, making his first Pro Bowl and then becoming a favorite among NFL players and fans for his story and character.

Unfortunately, merchandise sales always seem to favor offensive skill position players. There were only seven defensive players among the top 50 in merchandise sales. Promising for Crosby’s chances of making the list is all seven are pass rushers.

3 Jets among NFLPA’s Top 50 merchandise sellers

Sam Darnold, Jamal Adams and Le’Veon Bell were among the top 50 players in individual NFL merchandise sales.

The Jets have a few players on their roster who can move merchandise.

According to Variety, the Jets have three players on the top 50 list for NFLPA licensed player-identified merchandise sales. Sam Darnold is there at No. 25, while Le’Veon Bell and Jamal Adams 40th and 41st, respectively.

Patrick Mahomes was No. 1 on the list followed by Tom Brady at No. 2, Lamar Jackson at No. 3 and Ezekiel Elliot at No. 4. Baker Mayfield rounded out the top five.

The list includes merchandise ranging from jerseys, trading cards, wall decals, t-shirts and bobbleheads. It also includes merchandise sold from Nike and Fanatics. Overall, the NFLPA generated $1.9 billion in revenue sales from NFLPA merchandise.

Darnold, Bell and Adams are the three biggest names the Jets have on their roster, so it’s no surprise to see them on this list. Darnold has become quite popular as the presumed franchise quarterback, while Adams is the leader of the defense. Bell, meanwhile, came to the Jets as one of the league’s most recognizable rushers even though he didn’t provide much production in his first season with the team.

Darnold had his ups and his down last, throwing for 3,024 yards, 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 13 games. Adams put together another fantastic season, being named to his second consecutive Pro Bowl and making First-Team All-Pro. In 14 games, he recorded 61 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, seven pass breakups, one interception and two total touchdowns,

Bell’s season wasn’t up to his standards, as he struggled to show that same burst that he used to have with the Steelers. In 15 games, he rushed for 789 yards and three touchdowns. As a receiver, he had 461 yards and one touchdown.
