Notre Dame in NFL: Golden Tate injures knee in practice

Former Notre Dame wide receiver Golden Tate injured his knee late in practice Thursday with the New York Giants. Further details here.

Things haven’t gone according to plan for the New York Giants in 2020 as they’ve stumbled to just a 2-7 record and even in the lowly NFC East, have their work cut out to make a playoff spot.

We can discuss another time how pathetic it is that the fact they’re still “in it” at this point.

More bad news came the way of the Giants on Thursday though as wide receiver and 2009 Belitnikoff Award Winner at Notre Dame, Golden Tate, left practice with a knee injury.

There was no word on the extent of Tate’s injury but reports have him being further evaluated by the team’s medical staff as he was not available for the Zoom call through the Giants that he was previously scheduled to be a part of.

We will keep you posted on this developing story as will our friends at Giants Wire.

Tate has pulled down 22 receptions for 226 yards and two touchdowns this year while seeing action in seven games.

Notre Dame in NFL: Ronnie Stanley officially moved to IR

Ronnie Stanley had a massive year for the Ravens in 2019 but his 2020 is officially done as he was placed on IR Tuesday.

Ronnie Stanley had a monstrous year for the Baltimore Ravens in 2019, earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors.

Unfortunately his 2020 season is already officially done just days after signing a massive five-year contract extension, as Stanley suffered an ankle injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers this past Sunday.

Stanley was rolled up on by Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt and was carted off the field.

On Tuesday the Ravens made the announcement official that Stanley is headed to injured reserve, marking an official end to his year.

The Ravens are currently 5-2 on the year and a half game ahead of the Cleveland Browns for second place in the AFC North.

Bucs-Falcons Final Injury Report: Jason Pierre-Paul is a go for Sunday

See the final injury report for both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons ahead of Sunday’s Week 12 showdown.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to get back on the winning track this week as they take on the suddenly streaking Atlanta Falcons, who have won their past two games by outscoring their opponents 55-12.

The Bucs’ offense looked out of sync in Week 11’s loss to the New Orleans Saints, so getting Jameis Winston comfortable early on will be key for offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.

On the defensive side of the ball, Tampa Bay will have star pass rusher Jason Pierre-Paul back for Sunday’s action. JPP had been dealing with a knee issue early in the week, but was a full participant at Friday’s practice.

Two Bucs have been ruled out for Sunday’s game, OLB Anthony Nelson and DB M.J. Stewart. OLB Carl Nassib has been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, but Bruce Arians expects him to be back on the field.
