Unless the Guardians (+140) pull out all the stops and bring Billy Crystal out for a pregame ceremony, Cole should pitch well and remain focused for the win. It’s all on the table for Cleveland to pull the series upset, but Cole will force this series back to New York for a decisive Game 5.

YANKEES -1.5 (+105) is worth a small-unit play. Cole pitched the Yankees to a 4-1 win in Game 1 in the Bronx, as the Guardians just couldn’t solve the right-hander then. They’ll have difficulty at home, too, as Cole grabs the big win.

Severino hasn’t pitched in nearly 2 weeks, and there might be a little bit of a rust factor. Still, the Cleveland offense isn’t really built for power, so he should be able to go deep into the game.

Cleveland hasn’t supported McKenzie with a lot of runs, but he has been solid at home regardless, and he did blank the Yankees over 7 IP in his only appearance against them this season.

Run line/Against the spread

Guardians +1.5 (-190) is just too expensive for my liking. If you feel good about Cleveland’s prospects of pushing New York to the brink of elimination here, take it straight up instead.

UNDER 6.5 (-105) is the best play on the board. We should see plenty of donuts in this one, even with Severino not having pitched in game action in nearly 2 weeks. He should do well against the light-hitting Guardians, and McKenzie throws smoke. He should hold the New York offense down again.
