First look: New York Giants at Miami Dolphins odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s New York Giants at Miami Dolphins Week 13 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The New York Giants (4-7) head to South Florida Sunday in Week 13 to play the Miami Dolphins (5-7). Kickoff at Hard Rock Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Giants vs. Dolphins odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

New York’s defense showed up in a big way in the Giants’ 13-6 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12.

Perhaps inspired by Giants Hall of Famer Michael Strahan’s halftime jersey retirement ceremony, New York’s defense forced 4 turnovers and stopped the Eagles on both of their fourth-down attempts.

The Dolphins hammered the Carolina Panthers 33-10 Sunday as 1-point home underdogs. Miami’s defense may have been more impressive than New York’s in Week 13. The Dolphins held the Panthers to just 198 total yards, had 5 sacks and were also plus-2 in turnover margin.

Giants at Dolphins head-to-head

The Giants beat the Dolphins 36-20 in Week 15 of 2019 in Miami head coach Brian Flores’ first year on the job. However, that was a season before New York head coach Joe Judge was hired and it was Eli Manning’s final season.

Since the beginning of last season, the Giants are 9-3 ATS as road underdogs but 2-5 ATS vs. AFC teams. In the Flores era (since 2019), the Dolphins are 4-1 ATS as home favorites and 6-5 ATS vs. NFC teams.

Monday Night Football picks and prop bets: Are the Giants the perfect team to get the Bucs back on track?

Tom Brady hasn’t lost three straight since 2002. Will that streak end vs. the Giants?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-10.5) aren’t at a crisis point. They might be if they lose to the New York Giants on Monday night.

Tom Brady’s team has vacated its claim as the NFC’s top team thanks to a pair of defeats to underwhelming conference foes the past three weeks. Two-possession losses to the New Orleans Saints and Washington Football Team have pulled back the vulnerabilities of a suddenly-sloppy offense. Brady’s four interceptions have cast a pall over what could be an Age-44 MVP season and Tampa’s chances at defending its Super Bowl title.

Fortunately, a showdown with the 3-6 Giants presents an opportunity to get back on track. New York has struggled through the start of what may be the final season with head coach Joe Judge and general manager Dave Gettleman behind the wheel. Their team has been mostly forgettable in 2021, certainly not good but also not quite bad enough to fall into the Texans/Jaguars tier of shame.

As such, it wouldn’t be completely shocking to see the Bucs drop another game to a middling foe working to jumpstart its postseason hopes. It would still be a surprise, though.

Let’s talk about it. All odds via Tipico.

First look: New York Giants at Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds and lines

Looking at Monday’s New York Giants at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 11 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The New York Giants (3-6) visit the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3) for a Monday Night Football matchup in Week 11. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Giants vs. Buccaneers odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

New York entered its Week 10 bye on a winning note after beating the Las Vegas Raiders 23-16 as a 3-point home underdog.

The Giants have one of the worst rushing attacks in the NFL (ranked 25th in yards per rush) and are dead-last in red zone scoring percentage. New York QB Daniel Jones has a 64.8% completion rate with 2,059 yards, an 8:5 TD:INT ratio and a 45.0 QBR.

Also see: All Week 11 odds and lines

Tampa Bay was stunned by the Washington Football Team 29-19 as a 9.5-point road favorite in Week 11. The Bucs were outgained in total yardage 320-273 and had nearly half the time of possession (39:08-20:52) while Tom Brady threw two interceptions.

Giants at Buccaneers head-to-head

This is the fifth straight year these two teams are playing with the series split 2-2 overall across the last four. The Giants are 3-0-1 against the spread (ATS) in those contests.

Jones’ first-career start came against the Bucs in Week 3 of 2019 and the Giants won 32-31 as 5-point road underdogs.

Tampa Bay beat New York 25-23 on Monday Night Football in Week 8 last season but the Giants covered as 13-point home underdogs.

New York had more first downs and total yardage but was minus-one in turnover differential and was unable to connect on pivotal plays in the second half.

Raiders at Giants head-to-head

The last time these teams met was in 2017 when Eli Manning was New York’s quarterback and the Raiders were still in Oakland.

That game was memorable because it was former Giants head coach Ben McAdoo’s final game after the fallout of his decision to replace Manning as the starter for Giants’ then-backup QB Geno Smith.

First look: Los Angeles Rams at New York Giants odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Los Angeles Rams at New York Giants Week 6 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The New York Giants (1-4) host the Los Angeles Rams (4-1) Sunday with a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Below, we look at the Rams vs. Giants odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

L.A. rallied back from a first-half deficit to beat the Seattle Seahawks 26-17 on Thursday Night Football in Week 5. The Rams led the Seahawks in total yardage (476-354), time of possession (33:03-26:57) and takeaways (2-1). However, the story of the game was the injury that forced Seattle QB Russell Wilson out of the game.

Speaking of injuries, New York lost several contributors in its 44-20 Week 5 whooping administered by the Dallas Cowboys. Giants QB Daniel Jones exited the game in the second quarter with a concussion, RB Saquon Barkley left with a sprained ankle earlier and WR Kenny Golladay missed most of the game with a knee injury.

Rams at Giants head-to-head

The Rams beat the Giants last season 17-9 but failed to cover as 13.5-point home favorites. New York’s held L.A. to just 240 total yards and 5-for-13 on third-down conversions and led in time of possession 33:18-26:42.

However, Jones was healthy in last year’s Rams-Giants meeting and the Rams were led by former quarterback Jared Goff since current quarterback Matthew Stafford was serving as the Detroit Lions’ starter.

First look: New York Giants at New Orleans Saints odds and lines

Looking at New York Giants at New Orleans Saints Week 4 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The New York Giants (0-3) visit the “Big Easy” Sunday for a 1 p.m. ET Week 4 contest against the New Orleans Saints (2-1) at Caesars Superdome. Below, we look at the Giants vs. Saints odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

New York remains winless after losing to the Atlanta Falcons 17-14 as a 2.5-point home favorite in Week 3. The Giants outgained the Falcons on the ground and through the air and were more efficient on third down.

However, New York had to settle for two first-quarter field goals deep in Atlanta territory. QB Daniel Jones failed to score a TD and the Falcons stuck around and won with a field goal from PK Younghoe Koo as time expired.

New Orleans recovered from a one-sided Week 2 loss at the Carolina Panthers to smack around the New England Patriots 28-13 in Week 3 as a 3-point road underdog.

The Saints shut down New England’s ground game, holding them to just 49 yards on 17 carries, and effectively put the game away when scoring on a pick-six off rookie QB Mac Jones at the beginning of the second half.

Technically this is the Saints’ second “home game” but it’ll be their first played in Caesars Superdome after they were relocated in Week 1 due to the devastation of Hurricane Ida.
