Nets at Thunder picks and predictions

Prediction

Thunder 125, Nets 115

Moneyline

PASS.

Oklahoma City (-120) should win, but there is no need to pay the higher price on the moneyline when the Thunder would likely cover the short spread with a victory. Lay the points and/or bet the total instead.

Against the spread

BET THUNDER -1.5 (-110).

The Thunder are a league-best 11-5 ATS as a home favorite and are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Nets have played well lately, but may be due for a letdown after an impressive underdog win at the Western Conference-leading Nuggets.

Oklahoma City is 15-5-3 ATS in its last 23 games after a win by more than 10 points and should continue to be one of the most profitable home teams this season with a cover Tuesday.

Over/Under

BET OVER 232.5 (-115).

The Over is 4-1 in Brooklyn’s last 5 games vs. teams with a losing record and 4-1 in Oklahoma City’s last 5 vs. teams with a winning record.

The Over has cashed in 4 of the last 5 meetings between these teams and is 7-2-1 in Oklahoma City’s 10 games overall. The Thunder are 2nd in points per game when playing at home (121) and Oklahoma City’s leading scorer Gilgeous-Alexander returning to the lineup should help the Over connect Tuesday.

Nets at Thunder: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Nets 123, Thunder 109

Money line (ML)

The Nets have gotten back on track after losing two straight games to the Cleveland Cavaliers. They’ve won each of their last three games – including two over the Miami Heat. With the “Big 3” healthy and beginning to mesh, I think the Nets go on to win this one comfortably.

Take the NETS (-450) to win outright, even with a lopsided money line that doesn’t come with much of a reward.

Against the spread (ATS)

The Nets are unsurprisingly favored by almost double-digits over the Thunder. They’re the far better team right now, even though OKC has won two straight after losing three in a row.

Bet the NETS -9.5 (-110) to cover and win by at least 10 points.

Over/Under (O/U)

This is a matchup between one of the best offenses in the NBA and one of the worst. Brooklyn is second in the league in scoring, averaging 119.8 points per game. With the Nets scoring as much as they have, the Over has been a good bet.

In the Nets’ last 10 games, the Over is 9-1. It’s 6-4 in the Thunder’s last 10, as well.

Take the OVER 231.5 (-110).
