The Nebraska volleyball team suffered their first defeat of the 2023 season on Friday afternoon. The No. 1 ranked Cornhuskers lost in straight sets (25-22,28-26,25-16) to No. 5 Wisconsin at the UW Field House in Madison.
The Big Ten champions fell to 27-1 overall and 18-1 in Big Ten play. Harper Murray led the Huskers with 15 kills and eight digs, while Ally Batenhorst and Merrit Beason posted 11 kills. Bergen Reilly had 32 assists and ten digs, while Lexi Rodriguez had eight digs.
Nebraska will finish the regular season on the road this Saturday at Minnesota. The match can be seen on the Big Ten Network.
