Nebraska football fell out of the US LBM Coaches Poll on Sunday afternoon after being ranked No. 22 heading into Friday night’s game against Illinois. The Husker lost the Big Ten opener, 31-24 in overtime.
It was a busy weekend for other Big Ten teams nationwide, with several ranked in the poll. Oregon dropped down to the seventh spot, after not playing a game on Saturday afternoon. In the meantime, Penn State stayed at the eighth spot, after beating Kent State by a 56-0 margin.
Michigan moved up five spots to 12th overall, after upsetting USC by a 27-24 margin. Concluding the Big Ten representation, Illinois moved up five spots to No. 21 following their victory over Nebraska.
It was a busy week of movement for Big Ten football teams, as the US LBM Coaches Poll was kind to several of Nebraska’s conference foes heading into Week Five action. If this past weekend was any indication, next weekend should be equally as enjoyable.
