2025 Nebraska football commit Houston Kaahaaina-Torres was selected as a Polynesian Bowl All-Star on Monday afternoon.
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Kaahaaina-Torres is the 38th-ranked interior lineman in the 2025 class and the second-ranked player from the state of Hawaii.
The lineman is the first lineman commitment in the 2025 recruiting class.
Kaahaaina-Torres committed to the Huskers on June 30. He had offers from Utah, Michigan State, Arizona, and Arizona State. His commitment to Nebraska happened rather quickly, as he visited Lincoln on June 21.
Kaahaaina-Torres has received several accolades over the past couple of months. At the beginning of July, he was invited to the Under Armour All-American Game.
Nebraska football has made it a point to stock up on offensive line talent over the last couple of classes. The state of Hawaii has been friendly to Nebraska in particular, as they were able to land 2024 four-start lineman Preston Taumua in the last class. Kaahaaina-Torres is undoubtedly on an upward trajectory.
