Huskers to open 2025 season at Arrowhead Stadium

Nebraska will open the 2025 season at an NFL stadium.

Nebraska Football will face the Cincinnati Bearcats on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Geha Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The kickoff time and television network will be announced in the spring when the Big 12 has its television selection process.

Nebraska’s season opener has undergone some venue changes over the last couple of weeks. It was originally set for the Cincinnati campus, before moving to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Now, Kansas City looks to be the destination.

The Huskers currently have the only win in the series between these two teams. That game took place on November 29, 1906. Nebraska shut out Cincinnati by a 41-0 margin that day.

The Huskers will be looking to build off a bowl game appearance to end the 2024 season. Cincinnati will be looking to start fresh, after finishing 5-7 in 2024.

This game should provide plenty of intrigue for Huskers fans, as it takes place at a premier venue in the Midwest. One thing is for sure: Nebraska fans will travel well.
