Maryland went toe-to-toe with Penn State before eventually falling 31-14 at home Saturday. The game was tied 14-14 early in the fourth quarter before Penn State scored the final 17 points. With the setback, the Terps have lost four of their last five and were held under-20 points in all four losses.

The Spartans lost their undefeated status with a 40-29 setback at Purdue Saturday. The Boilermakers broke free of a 21-21 game with 16 unanswered points over a key 20-minute stretch in the second half. Michigan State was touched up for 594 yards on defense. First look: Michigan at Penn State odds and lines

Previewing the Michigan Wolverines at Penn State Nittany Lions Week 11 matchup, with college football odds, trends and head-to-head records.

The No. 8 Michigan Wolverines (8-1, 5-1 Big Ten) and No. 23 Penn State Nittany Lions (6-3, 3-3) meet Saturday at noon ET at Beaver Stadium in State College, Pa. Below, we look at the Michigan vs. Penn State odds and lines; check back for our college football picks and predictions.

Michigan is coming off a 29-7 victory over Indiana Saturday. The Wolverines have now held opponents under 20 points in seven games this fall. They’ve allowed just 16.0 points per game overall, which ranks sixth in the nation. One important issue for UM in this game at Penn State is the status of RB Blake Corum, a talented sophomore who has 778 rushing yards and 20 receptions this season.

Penn State snapped a three-game skid with a 31-14 win at Maryland Saturday. But things weren’t easy for the Nittany Lions. PSU and Maryland were tied 14-all at the 14-minute mark of the fourth quarter. The Lions defense was stingy down the stretch, and that’s nothing new. Penn State has held foes to 16.7 PPG this season (10th FBS).

Penn State has won two straight and three of the last four meetings against Michigan. The Wolverines lead the all-time series 14-10.

The No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (8-1, Independent) meet the Virginia Cavaliers (6-3, 4-2 ACC) at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Va. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Notre Dame vs. Virginia odds and lines; check back for our college football picks and predictions.

The Fighting Irish posted a 34-6 victory over rival Navy last week, covering a 21-point number as the Under connected. The Irish has won and covered four in a row since its only loss of the season Oct. 2 vs. Cincinnati.

The Cavaliers were outscored 66-49 at BYU, Oct. 30, before the bye. Virginia has scored 48 or more points in three straight games, but lost QB Brennan Armstrong due to a rib injury in the fourth quarter vs. BYU. He is a question mark for this one.
