The night will start with the skills competition, which takes players through a basketball obstacle course. Participants, including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Pascal Siakam, will dribble around obstacles, complete passes and make shots with the goal of completing the course faster than their opponents.
Three-point shooters will then take the stage in the three-point shooting competition. Joe Harris will look to win another title in this event against a loaded field of shooters that includes Damian Lillard and Trae Young. And with some expected changes to the event format, shooters with deeper range are expected to shine.
Finally, the slam dunk contest will showcase some of the league’s best aerial showmen. Aaron Gordon will return to the competition after his legendary showing against Zach LaVine. Dwight Howard will also be making his return, while Pat Connaughton and Derrick Jones Jr. make their debuts. Gordon is the perceived favorite, but all four men have a chance to take home the trophy.
