The 11th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish (6-1) and the 24th-ranked Navy Midshipmen (6-0) meet at MetLife Stadium Saturday in East Rutherford, N.J. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET (ABC). Below, we look at Notre Dame vs. Navy from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

The Fighting Irish picked up a 31-13 victory against Georgia Tech this past Saturday at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, technically a neutral site game. Notre Dame covered as a 14-point favorite and the Under (50) cashed. The Irish have won 5 in a row since that stunning 16-14 home loss Sept. 7 against Northern Illinois, while covering each of the past 3 outings. The offense has been good for 31 or more points in each of the 3 games, too.

The Midshipmen stomped Charlotte in an AAC battle Saturday 51-17, covering as 16.5-point home favorites. Navy has won all 6 of its games, while covering each of their 5 games against FBS teams. The Over has cashed in all 6 outings, too.

Notre Dame vs. Navy head-to-head

Notre Dame leads the all-time series 82-13-1.

The Fighting Irish picked up a 42-3 victory in the last meeting, which was played in Dublin, Ireland in August 2023. Notre Dame covered as a 20.5-point favorite and the Under (49) snuck in — thanks to the Irish defense.

The Irish have won the last 6 head-to-head contests, going 4-2 ATS with the O/U splitting at 3 apiece.

The Middies’ last win in the series was a 28-27 victory in Jacksonville, Fla., in 2016. Navy was a 7-point underdog and the Under (63) cashed.

This is the 1st meeting in the Meadowlands since Oct. 23, 2010, which was a game won by Navy 35-17. It was Navy’s largest margin of victory in the series since Nov. 2, 1963 — a 35-14 win in South Bend.

The Navy Midshipmen and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish open the regular season on Saturday at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET (NBC). Below, we look at Navy vs. Notre Dame odds from BetMGM Sportsbook. Also see: SportsbookWire’s college football picks and predictions.

Navy begins a new era with new head coach Brian Newberry steering the ship, taking over for the fired Ken Niumatalolo. Newberry and new offensive coordinator Grant Chesnut will still try and run the ball, but there will be a little more passing than we’ve seen in previous seasons.

Notre Dame had a close shave against Navy last season, hanging on for a 35-32 victory but falling well short of covering the 17-point spread. The linebackers will be tasked with stopping the run, and they’re one of the strengths of the Irish D. The secondary is also strong, but they’re unlikely to see many tests.

Wake Forest transfer QB Sam Hartman takes the reins of the offense for the Irish. He has plenty of help at the skill positions, and the run game will be just as potent, led by RB Audric Estime.

Notre Dame is No. 13 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.
