After adding more depth to the defense, Baltimore took a step to address the offensive line, selecting Washington Huskies offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten with the 62nd overall pick in the second round.

An offensive tackle at Washington, Rosengarten didn’t allow any sacks in his 1,158 pass-blocking snaps for the Huskies.

Baltimore could play the experienced offensive tackle at the right tackle spot, and he’s athletic enough to slide down to offensive guard.

Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney played a role in Wiggins landing with Baltimore, texting Ravens GM Eric DeCosta multiple times leading up to the 30th pick.

“We were getting texts from the head coach,” Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said. “Dabo was texting us during the first round [saying], ‘Please take this guy.'”

One of the top cornerbacks in the draft, Wiggins fell to No. 30, and he’ll learn from studs Marlon Humphrey and Brandon Stephens.

The Ravens added to their revamped defense in Round 2 of the 2024 NFL draft, selecting Clemson cornerback Nate Wiggins with the No. 30 overall pick in the first round.

Baltimore needed cornerback depth despite having Marlon Humphrey and Brandon Stephens returning on the outside, while Arthur Maulet and Ar’Darius Washington will compete for reps in the slot.

Wiggins, at 6 feet 2 inches, has good speed and excellent size for the position.

He plays with tremendous confidence and athleticism in coverage.
