Update on how much time Nate Wiggins could miss after injuring shoulder in loss to Eagles

Nate Wiggins could miss some time but Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports that the Ravens are optimistic the CB will be ready for Week 1

Nate Wiggins shined in Baltimore’s preseason-opening loss to the Eagles, proving that he was worth the first-round pick and giving team brass confidence that he’ll be an efficient NFL cornerback. Still, Wiggins’s preseason could be over after the defensive back was forced to exit in the third quarter after making a tackle on Philadelphia running back Lew Nichols.

Baltimore had Wiggins examined on Saturday, and while the results haven’t been released, The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec reports that Ravens brass are confident that the cornerback will be ready for the season opener.

Wiggins had three pass breakups on Philadelphia’s first offensive series, including one that caused a turnover on downs. Wiggins came close to snagging his first career interception on the next series and equated himself well on the same field that No. 22 overall pick Quinyon Mitchell was playing for the Eagles.
