Natalia Bryant will throw first pitch for Dodgers on Lakers night

The late Kobe Bryant’s daughter Natalia will throw out the first pitch on Lakers night on Friday when the Dodgers host the Braves.

The Los Angeles Dodgers continue to be hot as they approach the 2023 Major League Baseball playoffs. Mookie Betts, a prime candidate for National League MVP, has been on fire, and they have won 19 of their last 22 games.

Starting on Thursday, they will play a huge four-game series against the Atlanta Braves, who have the best winning percentage in baseball and are the favorites to win this year’s World Series.

The second contest of this series will have some added excitement. It will be the Dodgers’ annual game that honors the Los Angeles Lakers, which is known as “Lakers Night.” They have announced that the late Kobe Bryant’s daughter Natalia will throw out the first pitch for that contest.

Fans who purchase tickets for that game will also have the opportunity to receive a special Dodgers jersey with a Black Mamba print throughout and the legend’s No. 8 and No. 24 on it.

The family of Kobe Bryant visited a mural honoring the late NBA icon and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna. The mural in Los Angeles depicts Bryant kissing Gianna on the head, with a halo hovering over them. Bryant and Gianna were among the nine people killed in a Jan. 26 helicopter crash in Calabasas, Calif. On Sunday, Bryant’s eldest daughter, 17-year-old Natalia, posed for a photo in front of the mural.
