It’s the middle of the summer, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get our Michigan State basketball fix.

Graham Couch of the Lansing State Journal was one of many reporters at Tuesday’s Moneyball Pro Am event where numerous Spartans put on a show. Every Michigan State player is competing in this year’s event besides Jeremy Fears Jr. who is still recovering from last year’s injury.

As Jim Comparoni of SpartanMag said in a X post, Coen Carr was doing Coen Carr things at the Moneyball Pro Am event last night.

The highflying Spartans forward put on an impressive show at the Moneyball Pro Am event on Tuesday night, scoring 33 points for Team Faygo. But arguably the most impressive part of his night was the monster alley-oop dunk he threw down.

We got our first glimpse of the Michigan State basketball freshmen on Thursday.

All four of the Spartans’ star-studded 2023 recruiting class participated in the opening night of Moneyball Pro-Am. The exhibition event is annually held in the summer with the entire Michigan State basketball team set to participate this year — except Malik Hall who’s recovering from offseason surgery.

Spartans return for annual Moneyball Pro-Am summer basketball tournament

Once again, Michigan State basketball will be heavily involved in the Moneyball Pro-Am summer event

Once again, Michigan State basketball will be heavily involved in the Moneyball Pro-Am summer event.

Eleven Spartans will be participating in this year’s event, with only Malik Hall not playing — assuming due to his offseason foot surgery. Below is a breakdown of which teams Michigan State will be represented on:

The event begins on Thursday and will have games played every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer. The tournament wraps up in early August.

All of the games will be played at Holt High School in Holt, Mich.
