Big Ten releases MSU basketball’s conference schedule for 2023-24 season

Michigan State will open conference play this year in early December against Wisconsin

We now have a complete view of the Michigan State basketball 2023-24 schedule.

The Spartans released their official non-conference schedule last month, and on Tuesday the Big Ten released the conference slate. Michigan State will officially begin conference play against Wisconsin on December 5 at home and cap the regular season in a road tilt at Indiana on March 10.

Other notable games include playing Michigan at home on January 30 and on the road on February 17, and a road trip to Purdue on March 2.

Michigan State basketball has officially released its non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

The Spartans will open the season on October 25 in an exhibition against Hillsdale College and play their first official regular season game against James Madison on November 6. The non-conference slate includes notable matchups against Duke, Butler, Arizona and Baylor.

We are continuing to piece together the Michigan State basketball 2023-24 schedule day-by-day.

The Spartans haven’t officially released their 2023-24 schedule yet but reports and hints continue to be released. That occurred again on Monday when Georgia Southern released their non-conference schedule which included the Spartans.

Michigan State will host Georgia Southern on Nov. 28 at the Breslin Center. Kyle Austin of MLive gets credit for finding this schedule release from Georgia Southern.

The matchup against Georgia Southern will come about a week after the Spartans take on Arizona in Palm Springs, Calif.

It’s official — Michigan State basketball will be served on Thanksgiving this year.

The Spartans officially announced on Monday that they’ll take on Arizona in Palm Springs on Thanksgiving (Nov. 23) in the inaugural Acrisure Classic at Acrisure Arena in Greater Palm Springs, Calif.. The non-conference matchup was previously reported earlier this spring and the program made it official on Monday.

The game is slated to tip off at 4:30 p.m. ET directly after the Detroit Lions play the Green Bay Packers. The game will be televised on FOX.

We now have a rough idea of the Spartans’ 2023-24 Big Ten schedule

We now have a rough idea of the Spartans’ 2023-24 Big Ten schedule.

While the official conference slate hasn’t been announced yet, Michigan State did release their Big Ten pairings for next season on Tuesday. Each team in the conference will play seven teams twice (both at home) and six teams once (three of those at home and three on the road).

Michigan State will face Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Northwestern, Penn State and Wisconsin twice next year. The Spartans will play Iowa, Ohio State and Rutgers only at home and Indiana, Nebraska and Purdue only on the road.
