Atletico Madrid has been strong at home this Champions League campaign, earning seven of its 10 points in the group stage at home. In order to keep up with Liverpool’s scoring ability, the Madrid attack will need to play at a high level. Alvaro Morata struggled as a Premier League player with Chelsea but will have a chance to redeem himself against the Premier League leaders.
Liverpool finished at the top of its group in the Champions League and will start its knockout stage run on the road. The defending European champions have the most dangerous strike force in Europe with Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane combining to form a potent offense. With the Premier League well in hand at this point in the season, Liverpool will be able to give this competition its full attention, which could be bad news for Atleti.
