2020 MLB Futures Odds: How many games will the Chicago White Sox win?

Looking at 2020 MLB futures odds for how many games the Chicago White Sox will win in the 60-game MLB season.

How many games will the Chicago White Sox win in the 60-game 2020 MLB season? We look at the White Sox’s MLB futures odds, including their projected 2020 win total and Over/Under odds at BetMGM, and make our best bet.

Chicago White Sox’s 2019 recap

The White Sox went 72-89 (.447) a year ago, placing third in the American League Central Division. The Sox went 32-24 against AL Central foes not named the Twins (the Pale Hose went just 6-13 against Minnesota). Chicago averaged 4.4 runs per contest while yielding 5.2.

On the betting rolls, the ChiSox did quite well as heavy underdogs: they went 9-14 with a 38.9% ROI when tagged with a price of +200 or more. But they did finish 78-38 vs. the run line with a 75-80-6 Over/Under record.

Chicago White Sox’s offseason

The Sox added some rotation help for 2020 in SPs Dallas Keuchel and Gio Gonzalez. They also added C Yasmani Grandal, OF Nomar Mazara and DH Edwin Encarnacion. These are veteran pieces added to a youthful and solid organization that ranks near the top third in MLB as far as projected pipeline production.

Chicago White Sox’s 2020 schedule

The Sox will play 40 games against AL Central opponents – 10 games vs. each – and 20 total games against NL Central clubs. The 60-game schedule was set this way to limit travel since these clubs are geographically close.

The White Sox O/U win total is 31.5 with both the Over and Under carrying -110 odds. In a vacuum, this is a team I’d want the Over for in general terms … as in, “figure better things than last year.” But the current 31.5 O/U line begs a prudent watch – hope for 32.5 and hammer the Under.

Chicago White Sox’s World Series odds

In this sprint format, the White Sox are a LIKABLE PLAY AT +2500 to win the Series.

Chicago White Sox’s playoff odds

Chicago is listed at +320 to take the AL Central flag and +1200 to represent the AL in the Fall Classic. Both numbers have workable value; consider the Pale Hose part of any 5-to-8 team variable field action for a variety of these plays.

2020 MLB Futures Odds: How many games will the Arizona Diamondbacks win?

Looking at 2020 MLB futures odds for how many games the Arizona Diamondbacks will win in the 60-game MLB season.

How many games will the Arizona Diamondbacks win in the 60-game 2020 MLB season? We look at the Diamondbacks MLB futures odds, including their projected 2020 win total and Over/Under odds at BetMGM, and make our best bet.

Arizona Diamondbacks’ 2019 recap

The Diamondbacks had a solid 2019 going 85-77, but fell short of the postseason, four games out of the wild card. They were, however, the second-best NL team and fourth best in the majors vs. the run line, posting a 90-72 record. They were dead even vs. the Over/Under, going 76-76-10. In the NL West, they were an even 38-38 straight up and 41-35 against the run line.

Arizona Diamondbacks’ offseason

They made a splash, adding SP Madison Bumgarner. They also signed C Stephen Vogt, OF Kole Calhoun and RP Hector Rondon, and acquired OF Starling Marte in a trade. SP Mike Leake, added at last year’s trade deadline, has opted out of the 60-game season, while OF Steven Souza Jr., SP Taijuan Walker, RP Yoshihisa Hirano and C Alex Avila signed free-agent deals with other clubs.

Arizona Diamondbacks’ 2020 schedule

While the schedule is not out yet, we know they will play 40 games against their NL West Division rival — 10 games each. They will also face AL West teams a total of 20 times.

How many games will the Arizona Diamondbacks win in 2020?

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Thursday, July 2 at 8 a.m. ET.

The D-Backs’ win total is just over .500 at 30.5, with the Over at -120 and the Under at +100. They definitely should be improved with the additions of Bumgarner and Marte. The starting rotation is not spectacular, but it is deep and they don’t have problems scoring runs. They will be in the mix in the NL West. Take the OVER (-120) 30.5 WINS.

Arizona Diamondbacks’ World Series odds

At +5000, the D-Backs are a long shot to win the World Series. They have a tough road with the Los Angeles Dodgers in their division. Arizona is talented, but will need lot of things to go right at the right time to be considered a good bet for the title. AVOID.

Arizona Diamondbacks’ playoff odds

In terms of winning the NL pennant, they are +2500. That is NOT WORTH a bet. They are +1000 to win the NL West, but having to beat out the Dodgers is just about impossible. AVOID making any futures bet on the Diamondbacks.

2020 MLB Futures Odds: How many games will the Boston Red Sox win?

Looking at 2020 MLB futures odds for how many games the Boston Red Sox will win in the 60-game MLB season.

How many games will the Boston Red Sox win in the 60-game 2020 MLB season? We look at the Red Sox’s MLB futures odds, including their projected 2020 win total and Over/Under odds at BetMGM, and make our best bet.

Boston Red Sox’s 2019 recap

The Red Sox endured a rocky 2019 season, finishing 84-78 in Alex Cora’s last season as manager. The bats were alive, but the pitching staff failed to come close to expectations, including Chris Sale, who finished 6-11.

Boston was the second-worst MLB team vs. the run line last season, going 69-93 – only ahead of the Detroit Tigers (66-95). The Red Sox were profitable to OVER betters, however, going a 90-67-5 Over/Under record.

Against the AL East, the Red Sox finished below .500 at 35-41.

Boston Red Sox’s offseason

The Red Sox’s biggest departure of the offseason was undoubtedly Mookie Betts, who they traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in a package with SP David Price. SP Rick Porcello, IF/OF Brock Holt and IF Eduardo Nuñez also left by way of free agency.

As for additions, there weren’t many notable ones made by the Red Sox. SP Martin Perez was their most expensive ($6 million one-year deal with a $6.25 million club option for 2021), while CF Kevin Pillar was also brought in to help the outfield.

Also see:

Boston Red Sox’s 2020 schedule

The schedule will be limited to 60 games: 40 against the AL East and 20 against the NL East. Tough matchups with the New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets and Washington Nationals will make this a road to face.

Travel won’t be a concern with most of the teams in the same relative area, which was the goal for MLB with this modified schedule.

How many games will the Red Sox win in 2020?

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Thursday, July 2 at 4:45 p.m. ET.

The win total projection for Boston is 31.5 games – third in the AL East – with both the Over and Under carrying -110 odds. The Red Sox have finished above .500 each of the last four years, winning the division three consecutive seasons from 2016-18 … but these aren’t those same Red Sox.

With how much the front office stripped the roster and ace Sale out for the year (Tommy John surgery), it’s hard to see the Red Sox competing for the AL East title unless they get a miraculous effort from the other starters.

I’d take the UNDER 31.5 (-110) on this bet, though it’ll be close because I expect Boston to be right around .500.

Boston Red Sox’s World Series odds

Boston is +3500 to win the World Series, behind 15 other teams. The AL is loaded with championship-caliber clubs, particularly in Boston’s own division.

Thus, the Red Sox are NOT WORTH A BET, even with the big-reward potential of a 35-to-1 payoff. There’s just too much uncertainty.

Boston Red Sox’s playoff odds

Their odds to win the AL pennant is 18-to-1 (+1800), while an AL East crown is 10-to-1 (+1000). I just don’t see it. AVOID.

2020 MLB Futures Odds: How many games will the New York Mets win?

Looking at 2020 MLB futures odds for how many games the New York Mets will win in the 60-game MLB season.

How many games will the New York Mets win in the 60-game 2020 MLB season? We look at the Mets’ MLB futures odds, including their projected 2020 win total and Over/Under odds at BetMGM, and make our best bet.

New York Mets’ 2019 recap

New York finished 86-76 last season. The Mets were 11 games under .500 (40-51) after a loss July 12 – they went 10-18 in June. But a strong second half saw the Mets play .656 ball, going 40-21 after July 24. However, the early hole was too deep and New York missed a Wild Card slot by three games.

The Mets averaged 4.9 runs per game while allowing 4.5. The offense caught fire late – averaging 5.3 RPG on an .810 OPS (on-base plus slugging) after Aug. 3. The pitching staff, which was rocked early in the season, logged a 3.41 ERA over the team’s final 71 games.

Betting-wise, the Mets finished 82-80 vs. the run line with a 76-70-16 Over/Under record.

New York Mets’ offseason

Gone from a year ago are SP Zack Wheeler and 3B Todd Frazier. The Mets added RP Dellin Betances and back-of-rotation SPs Rick Porcello and Michael Wacha along with a few decent bench players. Bench depth and some injury returnees – and a fresh restart with new manager Luis Rojas – could go a long way toward New York building on its late surge last summer.

Also see:

New York Mets’ 2020 schedule

The New York National Leaguers will face a tough, all-East slate in MLB Season 2.0. Of the Mets’ 60 scheduled games, 40 will come against NL East competition (10 vs. each opponent) and 20 total vs. AL East foes.

How many games will the New York Mets win in 2020?

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Saturday, July 4 at 4:45 p.m. ET.

New York’s win total is 32.5, with the Over at -120 and the Under at +100. The Mets are a talented bunch and will benefit from the universal-designated hitter rule, implemented just for this abbreviated season (at the moment). Figure not on bullpen dominance, but on a bounce-back of sorts from bottom-10 production a year ago. Organizational depth could prove key in 2020; the Mets don’t shine in that area and what is there tends to be lower-level, couple-years-away guys. This team needs to stay healthy. 32.5 wins sounds just about right, so I’m going to PASS.

New York Mets’ World Series odds

The Metropolitans are +2000 to win it all. It would be more tempting if it was a better payoff. The best play on the board is the NL title (below), so I’ll PASS here, too.

New York Mets’ playoff odds

The Mets are +325 to win the NL East and +1200 to win the NLCS. For the latter play, the Mets are part of a cluster of teams at around 10- and 12-to-1. There is some value there – the Mets dropping to +800 or +900 wouldn’t be a surprise. Go ahead and put a little cash on the METS TO WIN THE NL (+1200) before it drops. Backing the Mets to win the division at +325 is worth a small-unit play, too.

2020 MLB Futures Odds: How many games will the Atlanta Braves win?

Looking at 2020 MLB futures odds for how many games the Atlanta Braves will win in the 60-game MLB season.

How many games will the Atlanta Braves win in the 60-game 2020 MLB season? We look at the Braves’ MLB futures odds, including their projected 2020 win total and Over/Under odds at BetMGM, and make our best bet.

Atlanta Braves’ 2019 recap

Atlanta went 97-65 (.599) last season, winning the National League East Division and posting the second-best NL record behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. Bettors were up 16 units on a Braves team which outkicked its Pythagorean projections – those based on run differential – by around a half-dozen games.

The Braves’ season ended with a disappointing 13-1 loss in a deciding Game 5 NL Division Series rout by the St. Louis Cardinals in Atlanta. It was extremely frustrating for Braves Nation since Atlanta held a 2-1 series lead before dropping Game 4 in extra innings and suffering the Game 5 blow.

The Braves also finished 85-82 vs. the run line, while posting a 79-80-8 Over/Under record in 2019.

Atlanta Braves’ offseason

OF Marcell Ozuna, setup man Will Smith and SP Cole Hamels have been added to the mix. Gone are SP Dallas Keuchel, 3B Josh Donaldson, C Brian McCann, SP Julio Teheran and OF Matt Joyce.

Also see:

Atlanta Braves’ 2020 schedule

With the adjusted MLB scheduling format in play, the Braves will play 40 games (10 each) against four NL East foes and a combined 20 games against five AL East opponents. It’s a tough slate, which will tax an Atlanta bullpen with question marks.

How many games will the Atlanta Braves win in 2020?

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Friday, July 3 at 3:10 p.m. ET.

Atlanta’s Over/Under for wins is 33.5 with the Over listed at -115 odds and the Under at +105. The Braves won’t be able to pick on weak pitching in this all-East format as more than half of their games will be against clubs that ranked in the top 10 in ERA last season. For a team that was a bit too far over its skis in posting a near-.600 record a year ago – and benefited from being 12 games over .500 (28-16) in one-run games – the LEAN HERE IS THE UNDER AT +105.

Atlanta Braves’ World Series odds

At +1400, the Braves are only behind the Dodgers (+350), New York Yankees (+400) and Houston Astros (+800) on the board for winning the title this season. In a season that figures to reward organizational depth, a strong top-to-bottom system bodes well for Atlanta. But a realistic assessment of the Braves bullpen and a tough NL East brings in some risk factors that chip away at value. LOOK ELSEWHERE or perhaps WAIT OUT a price adjustment.

Atlanta Braves’ playoff odds

The Braves are tabbed at +180 to win the NL East and at +700 to win the pennant in the Senior Circuit. PASS ON BOTH – more value can be found elsewhere in the division.

2020 MLB Futures Odds: How many games will the Houston Astros win?

Looking at 2020 MLB futures odds for how many games the Houston Astros will win in the 60-game MLB season.

[jwplayer uMfYKGBT]

How many games will the Houston Astros win in the 60-game 2020 MLB season? We look at the Astros MLB futures odds, including their projected 2020 win total and Over/Under odds at BetMGM, and make our best bet.

Houston Astros’ 2019 recap

The Astros are coming off their second trip to the World Series in the last three years, having gone 107-55 for the best record in baseball. They outscored their opponents by a league-best 280 runs. SP Justin Verlander won his second career AL Cy Young Award and DH Yordan Alvarez was named AL Rookie of the Year.

The Astros to the Washington Nationals in the World Series in seven games, and then were hit with the unraveling of a sign-stealing scandal. General manager Jeff Luhnow and manager A.J. Hinch were both suspended by MLB for one year and the team lost its first- and second-round draft picks in 2020 and 2021.

Houston went 56-20 against the AL West in 2019. It was an MLB-best 60-21 at home, while posting a more-than respectable 47-34 road record. The ‘Stros were 17-5 across their final 22 games of the regular season. They were 96-84 against the run line, including the playoffs, winning by an average of 1.6 runs per game. They were 81-91-8 against the Over/Under, largely thanks to elite pitching.

Houston Astros’ offseason

The Astros’ most important move for the 2020 campaign may have come at last year’s trade deadline when they acquired SP Zack Greinke from the Arizona Diamondbacks. It helped them prepare for the loss of SP Gerrit Cole this offseason, as he left to join the New York Yankees.

Meanwhile, Dusty Baker was hired in late January as the replacement to Hinch as manager.

Houston Astros’ 2020 schedule

The Astros will play 40 games against their AL West rivals this season after going 56-20 in divisional play last year. The Oakland Athletics look to get back to the postseason, while the Los Angeles Angels are arguably the most improved team in the division following the offseason. The Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners are expected to bring up the rear.

The Astros’ other 20 games will come against the five teams in the NL West. The Los Angeles Dodgers are the World Series favorites at +350. The Arizona Diamondbacks, San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres round out the division.

The Astros’ win total is set at 34.5. The Over is a favored at -120 with the Under priced at even money (+100).

With the Angels and Rangers expected to be improved this season and the Athletics set up for another strong season, back the UNDER 34.5 (+100) as the value. The loss of Cole and RP Will Harris will loom large as teams rely on pitching depth this season.

Houston Astros’ World Series odds

At +800 to win the 2020 World Series, the Astros are the No. 3 favorite behind the Dodgers (+350) and New York Yankees (+400). PASS on the lack of value here, as the Yankees are heavy favorites in the AL. Bet them or take shots deeper down the odds board.

Houston Astros playoff odds

The Astros are extreme favorites to win the AL West for the fourth straight year at -182PASS once again due to the lack of value and look at the Angels at +650 or Athletics at +265.

2020 MLB Futures Odds: How many games will the Colorado Rockies win?

Looking at 2020 MLB futures odds for how many games the Colorado Rockies will win in the 60-game MLB season.

How many games will the Colorado Rockies win in the 60-game 2020 MLB season? We look at the Rockies MLB futures odds, including their projected 2020 win total and Over/Under odds at BetMGM, and make our best bet.

Colorado Rockies’ 2019 recap

Colorado finished one game out of the National West cellar, going 71-91 on the season. The Rockies were the fourth-worst team in the majors against the run line at 73-89, and barely finished above .500 with an Over/Under record of 79-76-10. In their own division, they were 32-44 straight up and an identical 32-44 against the run line.

Colorado Rockies’ offseason

The Rockies more or less stood pat in the offseason in terms of its roster. They locked up 3B Nolan Arenado long term and extended the contract of SS Trevor Story and RP Scott Oberg. They lost 1B Yonder Alonso (Atlanta Braves) and P Tyler Anderson (San Francisco Giants) in free agency.

Also see:

Colorado Rockies’ 2020 schedule

The Rockies will play 40 games within their division — 10 each against the NL favorite Los Angeles Dodgers, the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Giants and the San Diego Padres. They will play 20 games total against the AL West, which includes the always tough Houston Astros.

How many games will the Colorado Rockies win in 2020?

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Thursday, July 2 at 7:20 a.m. ET.

The Rockies’ win total is set at 26.5. The Over is +100 and the Under is -120. Playing with roughly the same roster that lost 91 games a season ago with no major additions, if they fall out of contention, things could go south in a hurry. Lean towards the UNDER -120 for the Rockies.

Colorado Rockies’ World Series odds

The Rockies are one of the biggest long shots to win it all at +20000 … and they’re not worth backing here. AVOID. They will not win the World Series.

Colorado Rockies’ playoff odds

In addition to being a long shot to win a title, they have the second-longest odds to win the NL pennant at +10000 — only the Miami Marlins have longer odds at +25000. Colorado is +4000 to win the NL West, but that along with the NL championship bet are NOT WORTH MAKING. Especially since the Dodgers are all but guaranteed to win the division and are far more talented than Colorado. AVOID any futures bet on the Rockies.

How many games will the Philadelphia Phillies win in the 60-game 2020 MLB season? We look at the Phillies’ MLB futures odds, including their projected 2020 win total and Over/Under odds at BetMGM, and make our best bet.

Philadelphia Phillies’ 2019 recap

The Phillies had a disappointing 2019 season after landing OF Bryce Harper in the offseason, sputtering down the stretch by losing seven of their last nine games to close out the year. They finished 81-81 straight up, while going 78-84 against the run line with a 73-82-7 Over/Under mark.

The NL East was highly competitive last season with four teams finishing at or above .500, but the Phillies certainly wish they would’ve performed better. Their 36-40 record against the division didn’t help their cause.

Philadelphia Phillies’ offseason

The Phillies broke the bank to sign SP Zack Wheeler to a $118 million deal, while they also inked SS Didi Gregorius. They did lose IF Cesar Hernandez and 3B Maikel Franco, but the Phillies’ biggest offseason moves came with the signings of Wheeler and Gregorius.

Also see:

Philadelphia Phillies’ 2020 schedule

How many games will the Philadelphia Phillies win in 2020?

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Thursday, July 2 at 10:30 a.m. ET.

The Phillies’ win total is projected slightly above .500 at 31.5 with both the Over and Under carrying -110 odds. They haven’t finished above .500 since 2011.

I’d bet the UNDER (-110) due to their difficult schedule against the two East Divisions, as well as the overall concerns about their lineup.

Philadelphia Phillies’ World Series odds

The Phillies are tied with a host of teams in World Series odds at +2500, which is eighth-best in baseball. They have the talent to win it all, especially now with Wheeler in the rotation, but there are hurdles on their path to a title.

There should be some skepticism about their chances with Harper, Wheeler, SP Aaron Nola and OF Andrew McCutchen. They could make a run to the playoffs, but it’s unlikely.

Philadelphia Phillies’ playoff odds

Philly is +1200 to win the NL pennant, and +325 to win the NL East. I’m PASSING on both.

2020 MLB Futures Odds: How many games will the Chicago Cubs win?

Looking at 2020 MLB futures odds for how many games the Chicago Cubs will win in the 60-game MLB season.

How many games will the Chicago Cubs win in the 60-game 2020 MLB season? We look at the Cubs’ MLB futures odds, including their projected 2020 win total and Over/Under odds at BetMGM, and make our best bet.

Chicago Cubs’ 2019 recap

The Cubs missed the playoffs last year after a late-season collapse, losing 10 of their last 12 games to finish 84-78. As disappointing as the late slump was, they were even worse against the spread. They went 76-86 against the run line, including a league-worst 34-46 vs. the run line on the road.

Their Over/Under mark was just 76-79-7, too, nearly breaking even in that department.

The Cubs were decent in interleague play, going 12-8, but they were 37-39 vs. their own division – which is a big reason why they missed the playoffs.

Chicago Cubs’ offseason

The Cubs weren’t big spenders this offseason. OF Steven Souza Jr. was their biggest signing. They also added RP Jeremy Jeffress, exercised the options on 1B Anthony Rizzo and SP Jose Quintana, but their losses were more significant than their additions.

They lost SP Cole Hamels, OF Nick Castellanos, RP Steve Cishek and 2B/SS Addison Russell.

They do have a new skipper in former player David Ross, who replaced Joe Maddon.

The Cubs’ 2020 schedule, like every other team’s, will look very different in 2020 due to the shortened 60-game season. The Cubs’ win total is set at 32.5, barely above .500, with both the Over and Under carrying -110 odds. While they did lose some key players in the offseason, it won’t be enough to set the Cubs back significantly.

Going 33-27 would give the Cubs a winning percentage of .550, a mark they’ve surpassed in four of the last five years – and would have in 2019 if not for their late-season collapse.

I’m taking the OVER (-110) on this one.

Chicago Cubs’ World Series odds

The Cubs are +2500 to win the World Series, which is tied for eighth-best in MLB. Their schedule isn’t terribly difficult and they’ll get to face the Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals, making the Cubs A DECENT BET to win it all. But they’ll need to get a lot out of their starting pitching.

I’d consider a small wager on the Cubs to win the World Series given the upside with their current odds.

Chicago Cubs’ playoff odds

The Cubs are +1200 to win the NL pennant, also a GOOD VALUE PLAY, and +240 to win the NL Central.

Looking at 2020 MLB futures odds for how many games the St. Louis Cardinals will win in the 60-game MLB season.

How many games will the St. Louis Cardinals win in the 60-game 2020 MLB season? We look at the Cardinals MLB futures odds, including their projected 2020 win total and Over/Under odds at BetMGM, and make our best bet.

St. Louis Cardinals’ 2019 recap

The Cardinals won the NL Central last season, going 91-71 in the regular season. The went the distance in their NL Division Series, beating the Atlanta Braves in five games, but were swept in four by the eventual world champion Washington Nationals in the NL Championship Series.

Including the playoffs, St. Louis finished 90-81 against the run line, while UNDER bettors cashed in on the Cards’ 74-88-9 Over/Under mark.

St. Louis Cardinals’ offseason

The Cardinals re-signed P Adam Wainwright and C Matt Wieters.  They added P Kwang Hyun Kim from Korea. They lost OF Marcell Ozuna, who signed a one-year, $18 million free-agent deal with the Braves.

St. Louis Cardinals’ 2020 schedule

With this unique 60-game regular season, the Cardinals will play 40 games against their NL Central rivals – 10 games vs. each – and 20 games total vs. the five AL Central clubs.

The Cardinals’ O/U win total is set at 32.5 with both the Over and Under carrying -110 odds. They did not significantly improve in the offseason, but are consistently in the mix every year. The rotation is solid, but the offense needs to get better – they ranked 10th in runs (764), 11th in RBIs (714) and 12th in homers (210) in the NL last season.

Again, they won 91 games last year – that equates to 33 to 34 wins in a 60-game season. Lean towards the OVER (-110) of 32.5 wins for the Cardinals.

St. Louis Cardinals’ World Series odds

The Cardinals are not one of the favorites entering the truncated season. They are grouped together with seven other teams at +2500. While they are a solid pick for the playoffs, they have too many weaknesses to take it the distance.

St. Louis Cardinals’ playoff odds

St. Louis is one of several middle-tier teams with odds to make it to the World Series at +1200, joining the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets and Phillies Phillies with the same odds to win the NL. With the Los Angeles Dodgers absolutely loaded and the Nationals and Braves both looking good, AVOID betting the Cardinals to win the pennant. However, with +240 odds to win their division, same as the Cubs, that’s a bet to take.
