Texas A&M got upset on Saturday. It started by beating No. 9 Missouri 41-10, setting the tone in college football for the rest of the day. The new rankings are going to be interesting to see, with several teams in the top 12 dropping games.

A&M entered the weekend as one of about eight teams in the SEC without a conference loss. Among that list were the Tigers, who were facing their toughest opponent to this point in the season. Even though they were undefeated, they looked a bit shaky in some of their wins and came in as a two-point underdog.

That margin is a tossup game, and experts were split on the outcome. However, all that was thrown out of the window as the Aggies repeatedly marched up and down the field on offense while stifling the Tigers’ offense the entire game. It’s a preview of what this team can be if they stay consistent and healthy for the remainder of the year.

Below are some of the best photos from the 31-point blowout on Saturday at Kyle Field.

How much did Texas A&M rise in the US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 6?

Texas A&M received a much-deserved bump after destroying Missouri

Texas A&M (5-1, 3-0 SEC) looks like one of the best teams in the conference after demolishing Missouri (4-1, 1-1 SEC) 41-10 on Saturday afternoon.

Behind the return of quarterback Conner Weigman, who had missed the last three games due to a shoulder injury, was lights out as soon as the first snap. Behind 236 yards and five touchdowns on the ground, Weigman completed an efficient 18/22 for 276 yards.

Defensively, the Aggies limited the Tigers to just 186 passing yards and a pedestrian 68 yards rushing, as Missouri quarterback Brady Cook had zero answers for what Texas A&M DC Jay Bateman threw his way.

Sitting atop the SEC with a 3-0 conference record, the chaos that followed A&M’s win included No. 1-ranked Alabama falling to Vanderbilt on the road, while Tennessee fell to Arkansas just hours after.

Instant reaction to Texas A&M football’s historic 41-10 win over Missouri

Texas A&M gets their biggest win of Mike Elko’s early career with a top 10 win over the Missouri Tigers

No. 25 Texas A&M (5-1, 3-0 SEC) earned a statement win at Kyle Field with a dominant 41-10 win on Saturday afternoon over the No. 9 Missouri Tigers (4-1, 1-1 SEC) for the program’s largest win over a top-10 team in program history.

The Aggies started the game, hitting all cylinders on both sides of the ball in a lopsided top-25 contest in a critical conference game. With the return of redshirt sophomore quarterback Conner Weigman, who missed the previous four games with a shoulder injury, the difference in the offense with a healthy Weigman stood out early and often, with him converting pass after pass and even using his feet to pick up a few first downs.

Before we talk about how dominant the defense looked, we have to give junior running back Le’Veon Moss his props on a three-touchdown game with over 100 yards rushing.

The defense looked like a top-25 squad, given how much pressure the defensive line put on Missouri quarterback Brady Cook, sacking the senior six times with eight tackles for loss and completely shutting down the running game.

The Aggie D played well on all three levels, and outside of one broken play, they limited the big plays to a minimum. Nic Scorton and Will “The Blanket” Lee III performed All-SEC in the blow victory.

Overall, outside of the blowout score, Texas A&M’s balanced offensive attack under OC Collin Klein was what many of us expected before the season, while the defense’s elite play in the trenches paired with closing speed in the secondary is certainly a sight for sore eyes

Going into the bye week, the Aggies’ next game is on the road against Mississippi State at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Miss., on Oct. 19.

Watch Texas A&M A&M RB Le’Veon Moss’s 75-yard TD run vs. Missouri

Texas A&M running back Le’Veon Moss outruns the Missouri defense for a 75-yard touchdown run to open up the second half.

After a shocking first half where Texas A&M dominated the Missouri Tigers 24-0, the Aggies came out with a bang to start the second half of this top-25 matchup.

The Maroon & White took the kickoff for a touchback and started with the ball from their 25-yard line. Wanting to establish the run, the Aggies went with one of their staple inside handoffs from the shotgun formation. Le’Veon Moss showed off his vision and speed, hitting the open hole and making the safety miss as he went 75 yards for the opening touchdown to start the third quarter.

Texas A&M is on its way to 3-0 in SEC play, extending their current win streak to five, pending a massive comeback from Missouri. Below, you can see the big run from Moss.
