The T-Wolves have beaten the Mavs in their past two meetings but that followed a five-game win streak by Dallas in their head-to-head series with Minnesota.

BET the MAVERICKS (-117) because the T-Wolves are missing more key pieces than the Mavs. For instance, Vanderbilt grades in the 95th percentile of forwards in on/off net rating, Beverley is in the 94th percentile of point guards and Edwards is in the 66th percentile of wings (CTG).
On the other hand, Luka is in the 20th percentile of on/off net rating for point guards, Porzingis — who is listed as “questionable” — is in the 46th percentile of bigs and Kleber is in the 44th percentile of bigs.
Dallas has been hit by sharp money as this game opened at a coin-flip price but the Mavs have been steamed up to the current number.
Most importantly, it’s tough beating the same team in consecutive games in the NBA — especially when the team that just lost heads home for the second meeting.
Against the spread
PASS because Dallas’s money line is only nine cents on the dollar more expensive than the Mavs -1.5 (-108) so why fuss with the points here?
Over/Under
Slight “LEAN” to the UNDER 214.5 (-107) for a tiny wager — if at all — because Sunday’s Timberwolves-Mavericks game went over the total set at 214.5 yet the oddsmakers lowered the total for this game.
