The Milwaukee Brewers (42-30) and the Los Angeles Angels (29-43) play the middle contest of a 3-game interleague series Tuesday at Angel Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 9:38 p.m. ET (MLB Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Brewers vs. Angels odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.
Season series: Angels lead 1-0
The Brewers look to rebound after suffering a 5-3 loss in Monday’s series opener as -123 favorites. It started off well as Milwaukee opened a 2-0 lead in the top of the 2nd inning, but the Angels scored 5 combined runs in the bottom of the 3rd and 4th innings, while the L.A. bullpen did a good job the rest of the way.
Milwaukee needs to win the final 2 games to keep its series win streak alive. It has won the past 3 series, all by a 2-to-1 margin. The last time it lost a series was also on the road when it was swept by the Philadelphia Phillies June 3-5.
The Angels have picked up 3 wins in the past 4 outings, while going a respectable 8-5 in the past 13 outings. The Over holds a 6-2 edge in the past 8 contests, although the Under (9) held on in the series opener with the Brewers despite 8 runs on the board in the top of the 5th inning. Both bullpens shut things down with 4 scoreless frames the rest of the way.

Brewers at Angels picks and predictions
Prediction
Brewers 4, Angels 3
Moneyline
The BREWERS (-145) are a good play for the bounceback against the Angels (+120) behind a red-hot Myers.
Myers has allowed just a single solo homer for the only run allowed in 2 starts in June across 14 innings. He is really starting to settle in as a vital part of the Milwaukee rotation.
For the Angels, Canning isn’t as dependable of an option on the hill. While he has been a little better, he’s still winless in 3 June starts. When he is on, the offensive support isn’t there.
Run line/Against the spread
If you’re a little more on the conservative side, or you trust the Angels +1.5 (-135) more, playing the home team on the run line isn’t priced out of line if you’d like some insurance.
The Angels won the series opener, and they’ve been hot recently. However, while they’re 8-5 in the past 13 games, know that those 5 losses have been by 5 or more runs each, so you’d be going against the grain here. Their last 1-run loss came back on May 31 in Seattle.
Over/Under
UNDER 9.5 (-115) is a strong play.
The Under cashed Monday, while going 2-1 in the past 3 games for the Angels. At home, the Under is on an 8-2 roll for the Halos, too.
Milwaukee has cashed low in 3 consecutive outings, while going 5-1-1 across the previous 7 contests.
