Michigan State basketball survives scare from Bowling Green

MSU survives scare from Bowling Green inside of the Breslin Center

While the final score shows Michigan State basketball defeating Bowling Green by double figures, the game was anything but comfortable. The Spartans would beat the Falcons 86-72 after finishing the game on an 18-0 run.

When the run started, MSU trailed 72-68 with 7:11 remaining in the game. The deficit was in a long line of deficits the Spartans faced, which included a double digit deficit in the first half and an 8-point second half deficit.

Ultimately, the Spartans were able to pull out the win, avoiding an absolute back breaking loss.

Seven Spartans finished in double figures, but the most impactful player of the night was Coen Carr, who finished with 11 key points while making big time plays, electrifying the Breslin Center crowd.

Michigan State will be back in action on Tuesday, at home, when they host Samford at 8 p.m. on Peacock.

To start the 2024-25 season, Kohler has averaged 12.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Booker has struggled, only averaging 3.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.

Hopefully this is the spark that Booker needs, while maintaining Kohler’s success.
