Michigan State basketball recently landed the commitment of 4-star PG Jaden Akins out of Farmington, MI. As a result, the Spartans now have the no. 1 ranked 2021 recruiting class in the Big Ten according to 247Sports updated recruitment rankings.
The other top-5 2021 recruiting rankings in the Big Ten are Ohio State, Michigan, Northwestern, and Wisconsin.
MSU pulling ahead of Big Ten foes is no surprise. The Spartans have two 4-star Guards and one 5-star Guard coming in 2021. Now, imagine what this recruiting class looks like if Emoni Bates actually reclassifies.
Note, just last month MSU’s 2021 recruiting class ranked no. 5 in July and now ranks no. 4 according to 247Sports recruiting rankings.
