Michigan State hockey remains in the top five nationally in the updated USCHO rankings.

The Spartans held the same spot as they did in the preseason, coming in at No. 4 in the updated rankings for this week. Four other Big Ten teams were included in this week’s poll: Minnesota at No. 4, Wisconsin at No. 9, Michigan at No. 10 and Notre Dame at No. 20.

Michigan State opened the season with a road two-game sweep of Lake Superior State this past weekend. The Spartans are 2-0-0 on the year following the opening series sweep.

Next up for the Spartans this week is a massive two-game series against No. 2 Boston College. Both games will be played at Michigan State, with the first game taking place on Friday and the second on Saturday. Both games will start at 6 p.m. ET.

Michigan State hockey remains one of the country’s highest-ranked teams.

The Spartans were off this week, and thus, remained in the top five of the updated USCHO.com poll. Michigan State comes in at No. 4 — which is the highest ranking of any Big Ten team.

Other Big Ten teams to be ranked in this week’s poll are Minnesota (No. 6), Wisconsin (No. 9) and Michigan (No. 11).

Michigan State hockey continues to remain stationed in the top 10 of the weekly USCHO rankings.

The Spartans moved up one spot to No. 7 in the updated USCHO rankings released on Monday. Michigan State also received one first-place vote in this week’s rankings.

Other Big Ten teams included in this week’s poll are Wisconsin (No. 4), Minnesota (No. 10) and Michigan (No. 15).

The Spartans improved to 15-4-3 on the season after picking a road two-game sweep of Penn State this past weekend. Michigan State will now turn its focus to rival Michigan, with a two-game home-and-home weekend series on the docket for this week.

Michigan State hockey remains in the top 10 of the updated USCHO rankings

Michigan State hockey continues to remain positioned in the top 10 of the USCHO national rankings.

The Spartans are sitting at No. 8 in the updated USCHO rankings that were released on Monday. Michigan State is the second-highest team from the Big Ten, behind only Wisconsin at No. 3. Minnesota (No. 12), Michigan (No. 15) and Penn State (No. 20) are the three other teams from the Big Ten that are ranked this week.

Michigan State is 13-4-2 overall and 7-1-2 in Big Ten play this year. The Spartans will head to Penn State this week for a two-game series that starts on Friday night.

Michigan State hockey continues to remain as one of the highest-ranked teams in the country

Michigan State hockey continues to remain as one of the highest-ranked teams in the country.

The Spartans remain in the top 10 of the USCHO updated rankings on Monday, coming in at No. 7 nationally. Michigan State is the second-highest-ranked Big Ten team behind only Wisconsin at No. 6.

Michigan State swept Notre Dame this past weekend to earn two more wins on the year. The Spartans are now 12-4-2 overall and 7-1-2 in Big Ten play this year.

Michigan State is off this week and will not return to the ice until the Great Lakes Invitational on Dec. 28 against Ferris State.
