A Spartans target in the 2025 class has committed to a fellow Big Ten rival.

Three-star offensive tackle Kuol Kuol of Dayton, Ohio announced his commitment to Purdue on Wednesday night. Kuol had picked up an offer from the Spartans last month but that was unable to steer him away from joining the Boilermakers’ class.

Kuol ranks as the No. 80 offensive tackle in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He is also listed as the No. 44 player from Ohio in the class.

TCU has beaten out the Spartans for a running back prospect in the 2025 class.

Jon Denman of Palestine, Texas announced his commitment to TCU on Saturday evening. Denman is a three-star running back and picked the Horned Frogs over the following other finalists: Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Arizona, Houston and Boston College.

Denman ranks as the No. 53 running back in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 669 overall prospect in the class.

Three-star linebacker Grant Beerman of West Chester, Ohio committed to Purdue on Saturday morning. Beerman picked the Boilermakers over Michigan State, West Virginia and Cincinnati.

Beerman is ranked as the No. 46 linebacker and No. 421 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 17 player from Ohio in the class.

Michigan State football will reportedly host a “highly recruited” prospect in the 2027 class later this month.

Jason Killop of On3 is reporting that Gabe Jenkins of Pittsburgh will visit Michigan State in July. He is a cornerback prospect in the 2027 class and plays for Imani Christian Academy.

Jenkins is yet to be ranked by 247Sports.

Michigan State has not yet offered a scholarship to Jenkins, according to 247Sports. He does, however, hold offers from six schools: Kentucky, Maryland, Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia and Akron.

A big-time Spartans target from Texas will be announcing his college decision on Saturday.

Jon Denman of Palestine, Texas will reportedly announce his college decision on Saturday, according to 247Sports recruiting insider Mike Roach. Denman is a three-star running back prospect in the 2025 class.

Denman will be deciding between six finalists: Arizona, Boston College, Michigan State, Houston, Oklahoma State and TCU. There are currently no known favorites listed on 247Sports.

Denman ranks as the No. 53 running back in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 669 overall prospect in the class.

Davis ranks as the No. 19 athlete in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also listed as the No. 229 overall prospect in the class.

Michigan State is one of 10 programs to extend an offer to Davis, according to 247Sports. Other programs to offer Davis includes Cincinnati, Kentucky, Penn State, Pitt, Tennessee, West Virginia, Akron, Kent State, and Toledo.

Three-star athlete Bryson Williams of Orchard Lake, Mich. will announce his college decision on July 11. Williams posted on X last week that he’ll be deciding his new “home” on July 11.

Williams ranks as the No. 73 athlete in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 18 player from Michigan and No. 937 overall prospect.

Williams holds offers from more than 20 schools, according to 247Sports. Based on 247Sports’ interest rankings, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Kansas, Harvard and Rice are the schools he’s most strongly considering at this time.

A recent Spartans commit will be back on-campus for a recruiting event later this month.

Elite long snapper prospect Jack Wills of Hudsonville, Mich. announced on Monday that he’ll be attending the annual Spartan Dawg Con event later this month. The event will take place on the weekend of July 27.

Spartan Dawg Con has become an annual event that brings together Michigan State recruits, current players and previous players to showcase the program.

Wills committed to Michigan State as a preferred walk-on on June 25. He had interest from the following other schools: Notre Dame, Syracuse, NC State and Toledo.

Jones ranks as the No. 17 running back and No. 213 overall prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also listed as the No. 4 player from Oklahoma in the class.

Jones holds offers from more than 20 schools, according to 247Sports. Michigan State extended him an offer in March.

Michigan State football has extended a scholarship to an elite defensive prospect in the 2026 class.

Bott Mulitalo of American Fork, Utah announced last week that he’s received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. Mulitalo is a four-star defensive line prospect in the 2026 class.

Mulitalo ranks as the No. 7 defensive lineman in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also listed as the No. 2 player from Utah and No. 74 overall prospect in the class.

Michigan State is one of nearly 20 programs to offer Mulitalo, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, BYU, Iowa State, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State, Tennessee, Texas Tech, UNLV, USC, Utah, Washington and Washington State.
