We are just 46 days away from the start of Alabama’s 2023 football season!
The Alabama Crimson Tide will take the field for the 2023 college football season in 46 days, as Middle Tennessee State visits Bryant Denny Stadium on Sept. 2.
Here at Roll Tide Wire, we will be counting down the days until Nick Saban and his team take the field.
Today, with 46 days remaining, we will take a look at a former Alabama player who wore No. 46, [autotag]Michael Nysewander[/autotag].
Nysewander was a walk-on for the Crimson Tide but still was able to find a role on the team at fullback. In his limited role with Alabama Nysewander finished his Tide career with three receptions for 40 yards and two touchdowns.
We are back to 46 days away from Alabama’s opening kickoff on Sept. 26. The opponent hasn’t yet been determined.
There has been a lot of uncertainty surrounding college football over the last couple of weeks, but as of right now, the season still looks like it’s a go for the SEC, ACC and Big 12.
So, what does that mean? It means that we can continue to Countdown to Kickoff en route to the Crimson Tide — and the rest of the SEC — getting things underway on Sept. 26.
With it now being Aug. 11, we are officially 46 days away from the start!
Junior Melvin Billingsley, a walk-on tight end out of Opelika (Ala.), currently wears the No. 46 for Alabama. He saw his first career action against Western Carolina last season.
Former fan-favorite Michael Nysewander, a tight end and special teams standout, is another notable player who has worn the number for the Crimson Tide.
