WATCH: Chiefs DL Chris Jones divulges his affection for ‘Transformers’ director Michael Bay

#Chiefs DL Chris Jones was heard talking about ‘Transformers’ director Michael Bay during a mic’d up segment at Super Bowl LVIII.

Chris Jones is one of the Kansas City Chiefs’ most vibrant characters and has never been shy about expressing himself in press conferences or on the sideline during games.

His larger-than-life personality has made him a fan favorite in Kansas City since the Chiefs drafted him in 2016, and Jones’ joie de vivre was on full display during a mic’d up moment from Super Bowl LVIII that was posted to social media channels this week.

In the clip, Jones can be seen on the bench talking to his teammates about his affection for a famous movie director, though he couldn’t quite remember his name.

Transformers director Michael Bay, it turns out, is one of Jones’ favorite people.

While this revelation may come as a surprise to many fans in Kansas City, Jones’ friendship with Bay was made public last year while the defensive tackle held out from team activities in hopes of securing a new contract.

9 of the best ‘but it came out in 2007’ memes taking over the Internet

Prepare for Linkin Park’s “What I’ve Done” to get stuck in your head.

August is a pretty brutal time for moviegoers.

Summer blockbuster season is all but over. The likes of Top Gun: Maverick and Thor: Love & Thunder are getting ready to exit theaters and there isn’t much to get excited for until the holidays roll around.

Fortunately, the Internet has found a hilariously brilliant way to make new content out of old films—by editing Linkin Park’s “What I’ve Done” over scenes and cutting straight to the credits.

The “[Insert Movie], but it came out in 2007” meme quickly caught on and, oh man, is there some good content out there.

Funny enough, even though the song came out in 2007, it was first used to take a movie’s final scene into the end credits by Michael Bay’s Transformers in 2009. It set the bar pretty high.

Let’s see how the Internet stacks up against the original.
