Looking at Saturday’s Wake Forest at Miami college football odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons (4-6, 2-4 ACC) visit the 10th-ranked Miami Hurricanes (9-1, 5-1) for a Saturday conference game in Miami Gardens. Opening kickoff at Hard Rock Stadium will be at noon ET (ESPN). Below, we look at Wake Forest vs. Miami odds from FanDuel Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

Wake Forest lost 31-24 as an 11-point underdog at North Carolina Saturday with the Under (64) coming in. RB Demond Claiborne had 95 rushing yards and 2 TDs in the loss. This next contest in South Florida will mark the Demon Deacons’ fourth road tilt in their last 5 games.

Miami heads into this game off a bye following a surprising 28-23 upset loss as 9.5-point favorites at Georgia Tech. In that contest in Atlanta, the highest scoring team in the nation (45.0 points per game) had its offense kept off the field for long stretches due to the Yellow Jackets rushing for 271 yards. The Hurricanes were also undone by going a combined 4-for-14 on 3rd and 4th downs.

Below, we look at Miami vs. Georgia Tech from FanDuel Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

The Hurricanes beat Duke 53-31 last Saturday, covering as 21-point home favorites. Miami trailed 28-17 early in the third quarter but picked up the pace in the final 25 minutes to outscore the Blue Devils 36-3 to stay unbeaten. Miami vs. Georgia Tech head-to-head

The all-time series is tied 14-14 with Georgia Tech winning 3 of the past 5 meetings.

Georgia Tech won 23-20 at Hard Rock Stadium in miraculous fashion. Instead of taking a knee in “victory formation” with 33 seconds left, Miami elected to run the ball and fumbled. Georgia Tech recovered and went 74 yards in 24 seconds, capped by a game-winning 44-yard pass from QB Haynes King to WR Christian Leary. Ga. Tech was a 19-point underdog and the Under (56.5) cashed.

Miami won its most recent trip to Atlanta 35-14 as a 1.5-point underdog in November 2022. Georgia Tech’s last win at home in the series was a 28-21 victory in overtime as an 18-point dog in November 2018. The Yellow Jackets are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 head-to-head battles, winning twice outright as underdogs.

The Duke Blue Devils (6-2, 2-2 ACC) and the No. 5 Miami Hurricanes (8-0, 4-0) meet at Hard Rock Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is slated for noon ET (ABC). Below, we look at Duke vs. Miami odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

Duke suffered a heartbreaking 28-27 loss to the SMU Mustangs after a failed 2-point conversion in overtime. QB Maalik Murphy delivered his best performance of the season, throwing for 295 yards and 3 touchdowns to 3 different receivers, showcasing a solid effort in a tough matchup.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 8 Miami Hurricane (5-0, 1-0 ACC) hit the to face the Cal Golden Bears (3-1, 0-1) Saturday. Kickoff from California Memorial Stadium is set for 10:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we look at Miami vs. Cal odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

Miami enters on a 5-game win streak following a controversial 38-34 win over the visiting Virginia Tech Hokies Friday. On the final play of the game on a 30-yard Hail Mary pass, officials ruled Va Tech WR Da’Quan Felton came down with the ball out of a group of several players in the back of the end zone for what would have been the winning touchdown.

After a lengthy review, the officials overturned the call. Two hours later, the ACC released a statement stating, “it was determined that the loose ball was touched by a Miami player while he was out of bounds, which makes it an incomplete pass and immediately ends the play.”

Miami won but didn’t cover the 17.5-point spread as favorites and the Over (55.5) cashed in.

Cal was off this past weekend. After going 3-0 in non-conference play, the Golden Bears made their ACC debut only to lose 14-9 at Florida State as 2.5-point underdogs with the Under (44.5) hitting Sept. 21.

First look: Miami at Florida odds and lines

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Miami Hurricanes and the Florida Gators open their seasons at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+). Below, we look at Miami vs. Florida odds from BetMGM Sportsbook before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

Miami had a great transfer portal season, and look extremely talented on paper. Coach Mario Cristobal lured QB Cam Ward (Washington State) from the broken-up Pac-12, and he might be one of the more exciting signal callers in the ACC, if not the entire nation. They also added talented RB Damien Martinez (Oregon State), giving them a solid core of skill position players to go along with holdover WR Xavier Restrepo.

However, it isn’t all like The U in the 80’s, as the defense was a mess last season, and the team must replace 4 defensive backs from 2023. This team might be a little heavy up front, and susceptible to the pass downfield.

Florida was a disaster last season, and coach Billy Napier is starting to make Dan Mullen and Ron Zook look pretty good right about now. He is just 11-14 in 2 seasons in The Swamp, including just 5 wins a season ago. QB Graham Mertz was actually pretty solid, and Florida has talent on offense with RB Montrell Johnson and WR Eugene Wilson III.

Like Miami, though, Florida had plenty of issues on defense in 2023, and it had tremendous difficulty stopping the run. In fact, SEC teams averaged more than 200 yards per game on the ground against the Gators. Florida tried to address those issues via the transfer portal, but the jury is obviously still out.

Miami is No. 19 in the US LBM Coaches Poll — conducted by the American Football Coaches Association and USA TODAY Sports.
