Bo Nix had a perfect response to Maxx Crosby trolling him

“Kind of cut out the noise and just go to work,” Broncos QB Bo Nix said when asked about Maxx Crosby trolling him at the line of scrimmage.

During the Denver Broncos‘ game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday afternoon, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby trolled Broncos quarterback Bo Nix.

Maxx stood up at the line of scrimmage and yelled, “Bo speak up! They don’t [expletive] know [the play]!” while the quarterback was making an adjustment at the line. The moment quickly went viral on social media.

It was a funny moment for Crosby and Raiders fans, but the Broncos went on to win the game 34-18. After practice on Wednesday, Nix was asked about Crosby trolling him on Sunday.

“Well, actually, ironically, I didn’t really even hear it when it happened in the game,” Nix said. “I’ve obviously been sent [the video] a lot and seen the video after, but I think that’s just part of his game. I think he’s mastered that and he’s tried to use it to his success.”

“And I think it’s important when things like that happen, you just kind of come down and get back to the basics and not necessarily listen to it,” Nix said. “Kind of cut out the noise and just go to work. And at the time we weren’t doing a whole lot offensively, so it was good that we turned it around in the second half.”

A perfect response from the rookie quarterback.

Crosby ended the day with two sacks, but Nix arguably had the best game of his career with two touchdown passes, no turnovers and a rushing touchdown. The QB certainly got the last laugh, but he had a diplomatic response to the incident during his media availability on Wednesday. Bo’s a pro.

Bo Nix smoothly denied hearing Maxx Crosby’s incessant trash talk during Broncos’ blowout win

Bo Nix is so comfortable that he’s already tuning out Maxx Crosby.

In an already tumultuous Las Vegas Raiders season, Maxx Crosby is doing everything he can to keep his team afloat. The Defensive Player of the Year candidate already has a monster 11 tackles, seven tackles-for-loss, seven quarterback hits, and five sacks in just four starts. Of course, Crosby is also up to his usual antics of trying to get into the head of opposing quarterbacks.

The problem is that this strategy doesn’t seem to be working. At least, according to a composed Bo Nix.

After Denver Broncos practice on Wednesday, Nix was asked about his recent viral moment with Crosby, during which the Raiders’ defensive end was heard yelling at Nix to speak up. Per Nix, he didn’t even know this happened until he saw the moment become viral on the internet after the fact.

Not only did Nix seemingly tune Crosby out, but the fact that the Broncos scored 34 unanswered points in a blowout Denver win after the incident should almost be insulting to the Las Vegas star.

Nix’s denial that he heard the trash talk of a terrifying superstar defender also happened in the same game where he actually talked back to Sean Payton and still enjoyed great success. That is eye-opening.

It’s early, but it sure looks like the Broncos are properly developing their young quarterback into a potential franchise player.

Raiders, Steelers Week 6 injury report: LB Divine Deablo FULL go, in line to start

LB Divine Deablo FULL go, in line to start Week 6 vs Steelers

A mixed bag for the Raiders on their Wednesday injury report. First and foremost, they placed start defensive tackle Christian Wilkins on injured reserve, which is why you won’t see him here. But they also had linebacker Divine Deablo as a full participant for the first time since Week two.

Among those missing from practice Wednesday were WR Davante Adams (hamstrong), DE Maxx Crosby (ankle), TE Michael Mayer (personal), WR Jakobi Meyers (ankle), T Kolton Miller (knee/shoulder), G Jackson Powers-Johnson (knee), and RB Zamir White (groin).

Those missing due to injury for the Steelers included S Domontae Kazee (ankle), LB Nick Herbig (hamstring), LB Alex Highsmith (groin), and WR/KR Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle).

Ballers for Raiders in Week 5 loss to Broncos

Detailing the standout individual performances in Raiders loss to the Broncos.

Just five weeks in to this season and it seems each gam brings less hope than the last. Even the win in Week four over the Browns didn’t do much to raise hopes. Especially considering the next day, Davante Adams requested a trade.

With that drama as its backdrop, the Raiders headed to Denver to face a Broncos team coming off two straight wins, but with issues of their own, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

The first quarter it was dominance by the Raiders. They led out with a touchdown drive, then drove for a field goal, and drove all the way to first and goal at the five, looking to go up 17-3. Then it all fell apart and imploded on them in an instant.

We’ll get to that implosion in more detail in the Busters. For now, let’s get some Ballers out the way first.

Ballers

DE Maxx Crosby

Crosby loved playing the Broncos. He showed his love in this game with two sacks, two tackles for loss, and two QB hits. His first sack came on the Broncos’ second drive, taking them out of field goal range. They would get some yards back a couple plays later, hitting on a long field goal.

With the Broncos leading 13-10 to start the third quarter, Crosby ended their first possession with a three-and-out with his second sack of the day. He would nearly get his third on the following drive, but Nix would just barely lean over the line of scrimmage to get a yard.

TE Brock Bowers

The one big play in the game for the Raiders was Bowers leaping in the air and making a play on the ball before streaking for a 57-yard touchdown. It came on the third play of the game and it was Bowers’s first career touchdown.

A couple other times in the game Bowers broke open for what could have been touchdowns, but Gardner Minshew overthrew him on those passes. Aidan O’Connell’s interception late in the game went off Bowers’s hands, but that pass had way too much on it for point blank range, he hadn’t gotten his head turned before O’Connell released it, and it was just a tough catch out in front of him. A bit less on the ball or a split second later and Bowers makes that catch.

Even with those misses, Bowers finished with a team leading 97 yards and a TD on eight catches.

Honorable Mention

DT Christian Wilkins — He was injured for much of the second half, but before he left, he was doing some work. His five tackles was third on the team and included a tackle for loss and a sack.

Maxx Crosby makes it clear he’s not being traded anywhere, period

Raiders star EDGE Maxx Crosby makes it clear he’s not being traded anywhere, period, and he’s insulted that people think he wants out

On the topic of the rampant speculation about a potential trade for Las Vegas Raiders EDGE Maxx Crosby, it’s time for Detroit Lions fans to heed the words of Van Halen.

“Dream another dream, this dream is over.”

While Lions fans have almost demanded on social media for GM Brad Holmes to make a trade for Crosby, it’s not happening.

In the 90-second clip, Crosby effectively insults anyone who thinks he wants to leave Las Vegas and calls out all the false speculation about any potential trades.

“I’ve got to hear from these clowns talking online and talking on the Pat McAfee Show saying ‘something’s going on’, they’re speaking for me saying I should be on the sideline when I’ve got a high ankle sprain,” Crosby said. “These clowns, they’re sitting on a coach telling me what I should be doing.”

Crosby, who played collegiately at Eastern Michigan and is from the Detroit area, got more animated and agitated as he continued,

“But the reality is, I’m gaining yardage and trying to get right so I can get back on the field. Everybody knows my intentions but they try to speak for me. (Expletive) if you speak to me and you know what’s going on then we can have a conversation, but don’t speak on my name when you don’t know what the hell is going on.”

Crosby wasn’t done.

“These guys (Raiders teammates) know I’d take a bullet for them. You’ve got clowns that are online and talking … it’s embarrassing. Don’t speak for me. I’m going to speak for my guys and that’s all I care about.

I get bothered by that because, you now I take a lot of heat and I can do it. I’ve been through that. But don’t speak about me when you don’t know what’s going on. You’re speaking for me, or speaking about the organization.”

Crosby concluded,

“Come on bro, you know where I want to be. You think I want to be anywhere else?I got this (expletive) tatted on my body. I don’t want to go anywhere. At the end of the day, it’s just funny. A lot of people have a lot to say when they really don’t know what’s going on.”

The Raiders are 2-3 after losing to the Broncos in Week 5 but are still just one game out of a playoff spot in the very turbulent AFC. Crosby has never even hinted he wants a trade, unlike teammate Davante Adams.

Not that the Lions would have any real interest in trading multiple first-round picks for Crosby–if he were even made available for a trade. Dream another dream…

Maxx Crosby screaming at Bo Nix to ‘speak up’ probably didn’t work out the way he wanted

“Bo! Speak up! They don’t [expletive] know!”

Maxx Crosby has built himself into an NFL star based on two things he does at an absolutely elite level.

The first is as a pass rusher. The former fourth round pick is a bonafide stud and foundational piece of the Las Vegas Raiders defense. He has 32 sacks in his last 38 games and is a multiple time All-Pro who earns defensive player of the year votes on a perennial basis.

He’s not just terrifying in motion, however. He’s also one of the league’s loudest and funniest trash talkers. In the past that’s manifested in calling former opponent and current teammate Gardner Minshew II a “little [expletive] boy” in 2023. On Sunday, it meant getting out of his stance to scream at rookie Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix to tell him no one could hear his audible.

“Bo! Speak up,” screamed Crosby as the Nix tried to change the play at the line of scrimmage. “They don’t [expletive] know!”

Crosby had two sacks, two quarterback hits and two tackles for loss in Week 5, giving him the chance to get to know Nix better. But Nix got the last laugh, throwing for 206 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 34-18 win.

Video of Maxx Crosby trolling Bo Nix at the line of scrimmage goes viral

Maxx Crosby went viral for trolling Bo Nix at the line of scrimmage, but Nix got the last laugh with three TDs in a 34-18 win.

During the Denver Broncos‘ game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, veteran pass rusher Maxx Crosby trolled quarterback Bo Nix at the line of scrimmage, creating a moment captured by Fox cameras that has gone viral on social media.

Nix went up to the line to relay the play to his teammates and Crosby stood up and yelled, “Bo speak up! They don’t [expletive] know [the play]!” The audio was picked up by Fox’s microphones and aired during Sunday’s broadcast.

NFL defenders are not allowed to yell “hut” or “hike” or simulate a snap, but there’s nothing in the rulebook that prevents a defender from yelling at the quarterback before the play.

The moment has been quite a hit on Twitter/X.

Crosby ended the game with two sacks, but Nix and the Broncos got the last laugh in a 34-18 Denver victory. Nix had the best game of his career with two touchdown passes, a touchdown run and no turnovers.

Crosby’s trolling went viral, but Nix left the stadium with a win.

Raiders inactives Week 5 vs Broncos: Maxx Crosby will play

Maxx Crosby is set to take the field for the Raiders vs the Broncos.

A few days ago it looked like Maxx Crosby would miss his second straight start with his high ankle sprain. Then he returned to practice Friday and was officially listed as Questionable. Now he’s active and set to play against the Broncos today.

Crosby should give the Raiders defense a boost.

Tyreik McAllister is back on the inactive list after making his first appearance last week.

All others on the inactive list were ruled OUT on the Raiders’ final injury report.

3 Reasons for optimism as Raiders face off against Broncos

There are some reasons for optimism as Raiders face off against Broncos

Things may seem bleak at the moment for the Raiders. But their next opponent is plenty beatable. In fact, in many ways, these two teams are very similar. They even have the same record (2-2). So while there are some causes for concern, there are reasons for optimism as well.

Bo Nix still finding his way

Nix is a rookie starter and he’s has plenty of issues finding his footing in the NFL. He has thrown all of ONE touchdown pass all season to go with four interceptions. That ain’t great.

Last week the Broncos beat the Jets, but it wasn’t on Nix’s arm. He had just 12 completions in the game. He did throw is lone touchdown pass in the game, but it was to a wide open Courtland Sutton and his pass made the catch a lot harder than it had to be. The defense is carrying this team right now, but the Raiders just beat a team whose strength is defense, but whose QB lost the game for them.

Maxx Crosby might play

While we lament the sheer number of injuries on this Raiders team — and there are a lot of them — the most important player on the team returned to practice Friday and has a chance to play. His return to the lineup would be huge for this Raiders defense that were blown out by the Panthers when Crosby was hobbled and in and out the game with his high ankle sprain.

Crosby is officially Questionable for the game. And in the immortal words of Lloyd Christmas “So, you’re telling me there’s a chance!”

Figuring out the ground game

Last week against the Browns, the Raiders seemed to figure some things out. They ended up eclipsing their entire season total rushing yards over the first three games. They did it in two ways — first by spreading the defense out with sweeps and reverses and second by handing the ball to Alexander Mattison.

This week they were making the change to giving Mattison the bulk of the carries anyway, but Zamir White and his three yards per carry aren’t even available.

Mattison put up 60 yards on five carries last week (12 yards per carry). It will be interesting to see what he can do with feature back carries. And if the Raiders can continue to be creative to keep the defense from stacking the box, they could be in business.

Raiders, Broncos final Week 5 injury report: Maxx Crosby Questionable

Maxx Crosby Questionable on Raiders injury report

Finally some good news on the Raiders injury report. After seeing their already lengthy list of injured players who missed practice get even longer on Thursday, Friday brought the return of some key players to practice along with the chance that they are able to play Sunday in Denver.

Most notable, of course, being Maxx Crosby who returned from his ankle injury Friday and is officially Questionable for the game.

Also returning to practice Friday after missing the first two practices of the week were LB Divine Deablo, G Dylan Parham, WR Tyreik McAllister, and LB Kana’i Mauga. All of whom are officially Questionable for the game.

Those officially out include WR Davante Adams (hamstrong), T Thayer Munford (knee/ankle), CB DeCamerion Richardson (hamstring), TE Michael Mayer (personal), S Trey Taylor (knee), RB Zamir White (groin), and LB Luke Masterson (knee).

Replacing Munford at RT will be rookie DJ Glaze. Replacing TE Michael Mayer will be Harrison Bryant. Replacing WR Davante Adams is Tre Tucker. Replacing LB Luke Masterson is Tommy Eichenberg.

Out for the Broncos is RB Tyler Badie (back).
