Two LSU signees make Max Preps All-America team

A couple of LSU signees were named high school All-Americans by Max Preps.

A couple of LSU signees received national recognition this week.

EDGE [autotag]Da’Shawn Womack[/autotag] and CB [autotag]Jeremiah Hughes[/autotag] were both named to Max Preps’ high school All-America team.

On Womack, Max Preps wrote, “Racked up 15 sacks and 26 tackles for loss playing against top notch competition every week.” Womack is a five-star according to On3 and 247. He’s a candidate to make an immediate impact with LSU set to lose major pass-rushing production.

They cited Hughes’ ability to create turnovers while playing for one of the best teams in the country. Hughes is a three-star on the consensus ratings but has four stars from ESPN.

Hughes ran track and high-jumped in high school. He’s noted for his athletic ability that allowed him to pick off seven passes as a senior. The talent is there and with LSU’s secondary being rebuilt again, Hughes could fight for some playing time.

Getting young corners in the room along with the transfers was pivotal for [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] this cycle.
