Notre Dame football’s last Oklahoma recruit

OK…L-A-H-O-M-A.

With tight end [autotag]Nate Roberts[/autotag] of Oklahoma making his commitment to Notre Dame known Saturday the 2025 recruiting class doubled in size for the Irish.  Roberts joins defensive lineman [autotag]Davion Dixon[/autotag] of Florida in the now two-member class.

Roberts is also just the second Notre Dame commitment to call the state of Oklahoma home since at least 2000.  The only other with that distinction is former offensive lineman Matt Romine who played with the Irish from 2007-2010.

Romine played in 24 games during his time at Notre Dame, starting three of them in 2010.  This came after playing his high school football at Tulsa Union High School where he helped lead the team to a state championship as a junior.

Romine graduated from Notre Dame in 2011 and transferred to Tulsa to compete in his final year of NCAA eligibility in the 2011 season.
