UFC on ESPN+ 51 Martinez vs. Grant: Odds, lines, predictions and picks
Records: Martinez 13-3 | Grant 12-4
Fight result (2-way line or money line)
The southpaw Martinez (-350) will cost you three-and-a-half times your potential return against the Briton Grant (+260). The American holds a slight one-inch reach advantage, and he has a 4.34-to-3.67 significant strikes landed per minute led. If Grant holds an advantage, he is better on the takedowns, although he has had issues on the canvas with three submission losses in his past six pro bouts.
Martinez picked up a unanimous-decision win over Thomas Almeida last time out, and he has won four of the past five with two stoppages, both by KO/TKO. Grant posted a KO/TKO over Martin Day at UFC 251 July 11, 2020, last time out. The best play here might be to roll with MARTINEZ BY KO/TKO, DQ OR SUBMISSION (+200) on the 5-way line for a chance to double up.

Over/Under (O/U)
Both men have had plenty of stoppages recently with four of Grant’s past six fights finishing inside the distance and two of four for Martinez ending early. As such, look to NO (+125) ON ‘WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE?’ for a good value.
In addition, a lot of people do not like playing it conservative. But if you were to bet MARTINEZ TO WIN IN ROUND 1 (+450), MARTINEZ TO WIN IN ROUND 2 (+700) and MARTINEZ TO WIN IN ROUND 3 (+1100), you will lose two ends of this bet, but still be ahead as long as Martinez doesn’t win on points, or, of course, if Grant doesn’t pull the upset. I think this is guaranteed plus-money. If I were to leave one end off, I’d just bet Rounds 2 and 3 for a bigger value.
