Gators offer 4-star 2025 offensive tackle, working on official visit date

Getting this blue-chip 2025 offensive line recruit on campus for an official visit would be huge for Napier and Co.

The college football recruiting grind continues in the month of May with programs around the nation preparing their official visit lists for the coming weeks. Scholarship offers have been handed out and plans are being made as the 2025 cycle climbs to a crescendo.

The Florida Gators have been extremely active this offseason and so far have put together a solid class for the coming year. [autotag]Billy Napier[/autotag]’s staff offered four-star offensive tackle [autotag]Mario Nash[/autotag] out of De Kalb (Mississippi) Kemper County on Tuesday following a coaching visit to his high school last Friday.

With that offer in hand, the 6-foot-4-inch, 270-pound lineman has turned his attention to the Orange and Blue. Nash’s connection to UF can be traced back through his father, who was a fan of the Head Ball Coach.

“I really got turned on by the Gators by my dad when I was young,” Nash told Gators Online. “He was a Gators fan growing up watching [autotag]Steve Spurrier[/autotag]. The Gators have a lot of tradition and fantastic facilities.”

Official visit schedule

Nash has an official visit set with the Clemson Tigers for the weekend of May 31, followed by the Ole Miss Rebels starting on June 7, LSU Tigers on June 14 and Mississippi State Bulldogs on June 21.

As for Florida, he notes, “We haven’t set an OV just yet but will be working on it.”

Recruiting Summary

Nash is ranked No. 310 overall and No. 19 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 287 and 22 respectively.

Mississippi State holds a pair of crystal ball predictions from 247Sports while also leading the pack in On3’s recruiting prediction machine with a 79.6% chance of signing him; Ole Miss (6.5%), LSU (3.5%) and the Florida State Seminoles (2.9%) lag well behind in the race.

LSU set to host 4-star offensive tackle on official visit

LSU is contending for one of the top talents in the state of Mississippi.

LSU is dipping into Mississippi as it chases one of the top recruits in the state.

Four-star offensive tackle [autotag]Mario Nash[/autotag] will be at LSU on June 14. Nash recently spoke to On3 about his ongoing recruitment and highlighted what he liked about LSU.

“I like the diversity at LSU and the player development as well,” Nash told On3.

“I feel like it’s a great fit for me because of the physicality and style of play,” Nash said.

Nash noted his admiration for LSU offensive line coach [autotag]Brad Davis[/autotag].

“Coach Davis is the type of coach that will push me to be great. He’s a straightforward guy that tells you like it is,” Nash said.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has Mississippi State in pole position for Nash’s talents with Ole Miss, LSU and Florida State also on the board. Nash’s official visit won’t be his first trip to LSU after he was there last month for the Tigers’s spring game.

The official visit, along with Nash’s relationship with [autotag]Brad Davis[/autotag], could be enough to get LSU in the mix here. LSU’s 2025 class is shaping up to be one of the best in program history, but its far from complete. The Tigers are looking to add two of three more offensive linemen and will need to replenish the offensive tackle position with [autotag]Will Campbell[/autotag] and [autotag]Emery Jones[/autotag] off to the NFL.

Three-star OL Mario Nash includes Auburn in top 10

Nash hopes to visit Auburn this spring.

Auburn is in the mix to land one of the top 2025 products from the state of Mississippi.

[autotag]Mario Nash[/autotag], a three-star offensive lineman from DeKalb, Mississippi, recently released his top-10 list, which includes Auburn. Auburn remains in the hunt to hopefully poach Nash away from his home state, where both Ole Miss and Mississippi State are working to keep him in-state.

Nash told Chad Simmons of On3 that Auburn, as well as the remainder of his top-10 list, fits a certain mold that he is looking for in a program.

“It is the way they can help me develop and become the player I want to be,” Nash said in a recent interview with On3. ” I like the coaching, the culture, the history, and the academic side of things as well at these schools.”

As it stands currently, Mississippi State is the school to beat for the 6-6, 275-pound product. The Bulldogs have a 33.4% chance to sign Nash according to On3’s Recruiting Matchup Predictor, followed by Florida State, Ole Miss, and Virginia Tech.

Nash is a three-star offensive lineman by On3 and 247Sports and is a four-star by Rivals. He is the No. 26 offensive tackle by On3’s composite rankings and the No. 13 overall product from Mississippi for the 2025 cycle.

2025 Three-star OT keeps Penn State in his Top 10

2025 Three-star OT lists Penn State in his top 10

On Monday morning, Penn State got a mini surprise when Mississippi native Mario Nash released his top 10 schools with the Nittany Lions still in the mix.

Over 20 schools offered the No. 13 overall prospect in Mississippi, and his southern ties, Penn State, being in his top 10 is a bit of a surprise. The Nittany Lions are definitely considered a long shot to land Nash going up against in-state powers like Ole Miss and Mississippi State, among other blue-bloods like LSU and Florida State.

When speaking with On3 about his recruitment, he didn’t mention Penn State specifically, so it would seem as though the Nittany Lions are on the outside looking in when it comes to getting Nash’s commitment.

Penn State already has two offensive linemen in its 2025 recruiting class, but Nash would be a prudent depth addition.

It is now wait-and-see mode for Penn State as Nash locks in his spring visits with his top 10 schools and perhaps even cuts his list down some more.
