Does Karnisovas privately see a front-runner? Only Karnisovas knows that for sure, as the former Denver GM has reportedly spoken to Marc Eversley (Philadelphia 76ers), Mark Hughes (Los Angeles Clippers), Matt Lloyd (Orlando Magic) and Michael Finley (Dallas Mavericks). The source did say Finley made a great impression on Karnisovas, but there was no indication of a leader for that job heading into the weekend.

Bulls to interview candidates for GM position

Adrian Wojnarowski: Sources: Arturas Karnisovas is planning to start discussing Chicago’s GM job with candidates soon, a pool that’s expected to include several assistant GM’s: Calvin Booth (Denver), Marc Eversley (Sixers), Mark Hughes (Clippers) and Matt Lloyd (Magic) — among others.

Bulls to interview Sixers SVP of Player Personnel Marc Eversley for GM

The Chicago Bulls have their eyes on Philadelphia 76ers Senior Vice President of Player Personnel, Marc Eversley.

The Chicago Bulls continue to show interest in members of the Philadelphia 76ers. After conducting an interview with former general manager Bryan Colangelo for their top executive position, the Bulls have now turned to the team’s Senior Vice President of Player Personnel Marc Eversley.

After Chicago hired Arturas Karnisovas away from the Denver Nuggets for the top executive position, Karnisovas now needs a general manager to run the show and he has his eyes on Eversley among other candidates for the position.

Eversley has been with the Sixers since May of 2016 and he has been part of a front office that as turned the franchise around and made them a contender. He has a specialty in scouting young talent so Chicago would be an excellent opportunity for them.

Most front office members have goals of eventually running their own team so this offers a chance to run things in Chicago for Eversley. If he were to be hired, the Sixers would be losing an important part of their team in the office. [lawrence-related id=29182,29173,29159]
