Navigating national parks can be a difficult task. Cell phone service regularly gives out amid all that unspoiled natural beauty, so visitors can’t always rely on Google Maps. While many parks offer free Wi-Fi at the visitors center, it’s best to pick a dependable map before you arrive at your destination. When tackling a park as big as Yellowstone, some guests may want to come prepared with a few map options.
At Yellowstone National Park, maps and other helpful resources are available at the visitors center. This is a given for most parks, but it bears repeating for a few reasons. Tourists who don’t often visit national parks should stop at these centers not only for maps but also to orient themselves before beginning their adventure. For experienced national park explorers, the visitors center is a great place to check in with park rangers and get updates about any notable trail closures or park alerts.
In addition to the information available at visitors centers and in thesehandyguides, the following Yellowstone maps offer detailed information on everything from campsites to backcountry trails.
NPS maps
Find several different maps on the official Yellowstone website. The standard digital map provides an overview of the park with icons marking entrances, campgrounds, and other key areas. This map will help prospective visitors planning a trip to Yellowstone. A second digital map, the brochure version, shows topographical details and highlights points of interest. Download these maps for offline use by visiting the NPS cartography site. Learn more and find large print and Braille maps here. GPS coordinates to Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, and park entrances are available here.
National Geographic maps
When it comes to navigating Yellowstone’s hiking trails, this pack of four waterproof and tear-resistant topographic maps will serve you well. Each map includes marked trails, plus trailheads and mileages. Additionally, highlighted Bear Management Areas will help hikers avoid any unpleasant ursine encounters.

Across the United States, fall enthusiasts are planning their leaf-peeping trips. October has arrived, and the race is on to soak up the autumn scenery before winter begins. Up north, many people are already enjoying the season’s most vibrant colors. Meanwhile, the Southeast will have to wait until late October or early November for peak autumnal scenery. If you’ve been wondering when your neck of the woods can expect to see some fall color, check out the 2022 fall foliage map from SmokyMountains.com. This helpful tool features a slider that users can adjust to see when each region of the contiguous U.S. will reach peak color.
For ambitious leaf-peepers who want to scope out fall leaves all over the country, this map is an indispensable tool. Another cool part of this resource? You can contribute to it. By submitting a fall foliage report when autumn color graces your neighborhood, you can help make the map more accurate. The short form asks basic questions about what area you’re in, if the leaves there have begun changing color, and how brilliant the colors are.
Curious minds can peruse SmokyMountains.com for more information on why leaves change color in the fall. The map and page are also great resources for teachers seeking seasonal lesson plan ideas. Kids in the classroom will love the site’s free print-out autumn coloring book, too.

The good news is that we get a lot of football on Sunday so break out those multiple televisions, Sunday Ticket streams, and local HD antennae because we have all the football available on Sunday and not much more after that.
Everyone knows the Sunday night game features the Niners versus the Seahawks in Seattle. The other games you’ll get on Sunday are in the next few pages. Let’s check them out.
The biggest game on Sunday is on Fox when the Cowboys and Eagles play for a playoff spot.
Welcome to Week 16. It’s a week that should have a ton of games with playoff implications. Unfortunately, it does not have those games — and if it does those games are on Saturday. The biggest matchup is on Sunday afternoon where the Eagles and Cowboys square off to see what team will — most likely — win the NFC East. Fox also gets a win in the early games because they have the Saints-Titans matchup. What game will you get? Glad you asked.
After weeks of complaining about not enough late games, there are too many late games now. There are five games in the afternoon of Week 14. That’s a lot of late games. The biggest matchup is obviously the Rams-Cowboys game. The most entertaining …
After weeks of complaining about not enough late games, there are too many late games now. There are five games in the afternoon of Week 14. That’s a lot of late games. The biggest matchup is obviously the Rams-Cowboys game. The most entertaining early game belongs to CBS with the AFC South showdown between the Texans and Titans. We have a ton of other games. The maps look like some weird piece of art that needs some deep interpretation. So what games will you get — assuming you don’t have NFL Sunday Ticket? Check out below. Somehow the Niners-Ravens game didn’t get flexed to Sunday Night. We do get Patriots-Texans though. Monday Night Football is a pretty good game as well as the Vikings travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks. As usual, thanks to 506Sports.com for the maps.

There are two — count them two — afternoon games. One isn’t even listed in this post because it’s the only game on Fox. It’s the nationally televised game of the week where the Dallas Cowboys travel to Foxborough to take on the New England Patriots. Ratings for that game should be a hit. Fox definitely wins the weekend. The rest of the weekend games could be interesting. The Seahawks-Eagles game is a battle to find who which team is the greatest birds of prey team. It’s also kind of important for the NFC playoff race. Let’s check out the rest of the schedule. As usual, thanks to 506Sports.com for the maps.
