Bears WR DJ Moore isn’t happy with his Madden 24 rating

Bears WR DJ Moore shared his thoughts on his Madden 24 rating, and it’s clear he’s not pleased.

Expectations are high for new Bears wide receiver DJ Moore, who was acquired in a trade of the first overall pick in the NFL draft.

Moore already has three 1,000-yard seasons to his name in five years, despite not having the best quarterback play during his time with the Panthers. He’s one of the most underrated receivers in the NFL, and that was evident in the new Madden 24 ratings.

He didn’t land among the top 10, earning an 86 overall rating. That’s tied for 21st with San Francisco’s Brandon Aiyuk and Tampa Bay’s Chris Godwin.

Moore took to Twitter to share his thoughts on his Madden 24 rating, and it’s clear he believes it should be higher.

The Madden 24 Twitter account responded to Moore saying, “We don’t expect you to be in the 80s for long.”

It’s safe to say Bears fans feel the same. After all, Moore gives quarterback Justin Fields the No. 1 wide receiver he’s been missing, which should help jumpstart this passing attack.

If Moore is the playmaker many expect him to be in Chicago, there’s no doubt he’ll climb the ranks and join those in the 90s club this season.

Madden 24 ranks Steelers Minkah Fitzpatrick at No. 2 among safeties

Minkah Fitzpatrick’s Madden 24 rating is 93.

Player ratings have started to come out for players for this season’s version of EA Sports Madden NFL 24. First up are the safeties and we have to check and see where Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick ranked and what kind of rating he got.

Most NFL analysts and writers have been on board with Fitzpatrick as the best safety in the NFL after his 2022 season. EA Sports didn’t quite agree with this when it came to Madden ratings.

Fitzpatrick has a very respectable 93 rating in the game but is still coming in at No. 2 behind Los Angeles Chargers Derwin James. Fitzpatrick led the league in interceptions in 2022 with six. Fitzpatrick also had 96 total tackles and was named an All-Pro for the third time in four seasons.

Check out Justin Jefferson’s priceless reaction to earning a 99 overall in Madden 24

Justin Jefferson is rated as one of the few 99 overall players in the game.

EA Sports has released the wide receiver rankings for the latest installment of the Madden NFL franchise, and former LSU Tiger [autotag]Justin Jefferson[/autotag] is rated as one of the few 99 overall players in the game.

Only a handful of players earn the 99 overall rating every year and those players get certain perks. Last season, the 99 overall players received golden cleats from EA Sports. We will see what Jefferson gets this season.

Regardless, the former Tigers star had an absolutely priceless reaction to finding out he would receive the game’s highest possible rating.

Last season, Jefferson had 128 receptions for 1809 yards and eight touchdowns. He is the top target for Vikings quarterback, Kirk Cousins.

Jefferson was a member of the 2019 national championship team at LSU. He hauled in 111 receptions for 1540 yards and 18 touchdowns as he and [autotag]Ja’Marr Chase[/autotag] were unstoppable for [autotag]Joe Burrow[/autotag] and the Tigers offense.

The Vikings finished the 2022 season 13-4 and were champions of the NFC North. They hosted the New York Giants in the Wild Card round and lost to them 31-24 to end their season.

Madden 24: See the ratings for Bears receivers, safeties

Madden 24 has released ratings for wide receivers and safeties. See the Bears’ players ratings:

The Chicago Bears are coming off a three-win season that culminated in a 10-game losing streak. Still, there’s plenty of optimism heading into the 2023 season following an impactful offseason.

EA Sports has started unveiling Madden 24 ratings, starting with wide receivers and safeties, where notable Bears players DJ Moore, Eddie Jackson, Darnell Mooney and Jaquan Brisker led the way for Chicago.

Here’s a look at the Madden 24 ratings for qualifying Bears wide receivers and safeties:

The Bears’ biggest offseason acquisition was wide receiver DJ Moore, who was traded to Chicago as part of a package for the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft.

Moore gives quarterback Justin Fields the No. 1 wideout he’s been lacking, which has helped other young quarterbacks take a massive step in their development. Moore was the talk of the offseason program, as his playmaking ability and chemistry with Fields was evident.

EA Sports has started releasing Madden 24 ratings, continuing with wide receivers. While Moore didn’t land among the top 10, he received a respectable rating of 86. That’s tied for 21st with San Francisco’s Brandon Aiyuk and Tampa Bay’s Chris Godwin.

Moore is one of the most underrated receivers in the NFL. The fact that he’s eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards in three of five seasons — and had no less than 788 yards — without a talented quarterback says it all. Moore should provide an immediate upgrade for the downfield passing game.

Elsewhere, Darnell Mooney was the second-highest rated Bears wideout with an 81 with Chase Claypool landing a 76 rating. Rookie Tyler Scott secured a 71 rating.

Where Bears’ Eddie Jackson, Jaquan Brisker rank among safeties in Madden 24

See the ratings that Bears safeties Eddie Jackson and Jaquan Brisker notched in Madden 24.

The Bears’ safety duo of Eddie Jackson and Jaquan Brisker has the potential to become one the best in the NFL, and things are only looking up heading into the 2023 season.

Brisker is coming off an encouraging rookie season while Jackson returned to his playmaker form before suffering a season-ending injury last November.

EA Sports has started releasing Madden 24 ratings, starting with safety. Neither Jackson nor Brisker were ranked among the top 10 safeties, and you could argue that their ratings are too low.

Jackson ranked 18th among safeties with an 85 rating. Jackson had a bounce back year in 2022, where he looked like the impact player he was in his first couple of seasons. After not notching an interception in the previous two years, Jackson led the Bears with four picks. Jackson added 80 total tackles, including one for a loss, six pass breakups and led the team with two forced fumbles.

Meanwhile, Brisker ranked 46th among safeties with an 78 rating. Brisker led the team with 4.0 sacks and had the second-most tackles (104), as well as recorded two takeaways on the season. He was solid against the run and in coverage, although he struggled with tackling at times. Brisker was the perfect complement for Jackson, and he stood out with his physicality and playmaking ability on a defense that was lacking in a lot of areas.

Chiefs DT Chris Jones expresses displeasure over ‘Madden NFL 24’ avatar

#Chiefs DT Chris Jones is not a fan of his avatar in the upcoming “Madden NFL 24” game, and took to social media to express his discontent. | from @TheJohnDillon

Fans of the ubiquitous “Madden NFL” video game franchise have been irked by many of the title’s quirks and outright flaws over the years.

Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones’ frustration reached another level this week after seeing his avatar for the upcoming iteration of the storied franchise. Despite his generous 96 overall rating, it seems the game’s publisher, EA Sports, fell short of the mark in digitally recreating the lineman. One might expect Jones’ avatar to at least somewhat resemble him, but the lack of detail in this model is striking, to say the least.

Jones wasn’t content to complain about the facial recognition with the lone tweet sent on Monday. He followed it up a with more direct complaint on Tuesday, claiming that he’d continue tweeting about it until his avatar situation was settled.

As of the time of writing, the issue does not seem to have been resolved.

Perhaps the game developer can be spurred to action by Chiefs fans who won’t be content with another carbon-copy release of the beloved game, but if history tells us anything, Jones’ complaint may fall on deaf ears.

The first ‘Madden NFL 24’ preview is not kind to the Broncos

The first Madden 24 preview shows Patrick Mahomes completing a diving pass to Travis Kelce for a TD. It’s against the Broncos, of course.

EA Sports announced Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen as the cover athlete for Madden NFL 24 last week, and EA also released the first trailer for this year’s version of the popular football video game.

One of the big takeaways from the trailer is that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is shown making a diving throw, similar to the one he made during KC’s Super Bowl loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The original pass fell incomplete, but in the preview for Madden NFL 24, Mahomes completes the pass. Against who? You guessed it — the Denver Broncos.

With defensive lineman Eyioma Uwazurike and safety P.J. Locke pursuing him, Mahomes dives and throws to the ball to the end zone. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce catches the pass for a touchdown with Pat Surtain (?) in coverage:

Thanks, EA, thanks a lot. Broncos can’t beat the Chiefs in real life or in the video game.

New coach Sean Payton will aim to change that this fall.

6 Patriots players that could be featured on future ‘Madden’ cover

Could one of these players be the Patriots’ next “Madden” cover athlete?

Throughout the history of EA Sports’ Madden video games, the New England Patriots have only had two players grace the front cover, which is saying more than most teams.

Madden NFL 24 revealed on Wednesday that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was being featured on the front cover of the newest addition to the popular game franchise.

On one hand, it’s easy to feel excited for such an incredible and deserving player like Allen, but on the other hand, it’s the Bills we’re talking about here.

How great would it be to see another Patriots player join Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski as the third player in New England’s history to be featured on the front cover of Madden?

Let me preface by saying this is a fun list that weighs personality just as heavily as talent on the football field. I’m taking both into consideration when picking these six Patriots players that could be future Madden NFL cover models.
