Chase Young, Derrius Guice featured in Madden 21 gameplay trailer

Two redskins stars, Chase Young and Derrius Guice, were both featured in the new Madden 21 trailer, set to come out in August.

Along with being picked No. 2 overall in the NFL Draft and being the undisputed best player in your draft class comes some perks, and one of those is being heavily featured in the new Madden 21 Official Gameplay Trailer.

That’s where Washington Redskins DE Chase Young is this week, as EA Sports released a 90-second clip of their newest rendition of the beloved football video game, which will feature a few new gameplay quirks such as an improved ball-carrier control stick, ‘clutch’ open-field tackling, and user-generated touchdown celebrations.

Chase Young comes into the video at (0:48) when the game delves into the new edge-rushing improvements. Young is shown swimming around the right edge and sacking Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott, then again a few seconds later gobbling up Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders in the backfield.

Redskins running back Derrius Guice was also featured hurdling a Carolina Panthers defender early in the video (0:17), but where is Terry McLaurin? As the Redskins hopeful success awaits, get used to seeing some of their players start to pop up on the national stage like this.

WATCH: Vikings LB Anthony Barr has cameo in Madden 21 trailer

Madden 21 will be released on Aug. 25.

We’re months away from the NFL actually starting, but the excitement is already here, especially with no live team sports happening across the U.S.

The same can probably be said for the excitement of sports video games. That’s where we’re at right now.

We saw the first trailer of Madden 21 on Monday and Vikings fans will be happy to see linebacker Anthony Barr absolutely blowing up Lions running back Kerryon Johnson in it.

Madden 21 will be released on Aug. 25. You can see the full trailer below:

Lamar Jackson has a perfect answer about battling the Madden and Drake curses

Great quote.

If you believe in curses, then Lamar Jackson is in a lot of trouble.

But if you don’t, or you believe those curses have been vanquished, then the Baltimore Ravens quarterback might repeat his incredible 2019 season that resulted in an NFL MVP award.

Back in January, rapper Drake wore some “Truss” gear and people got worried (but the Drake curse was broken by the Toronto Raptors, right?). And Patrick Mahomes won a Super Bowl after getting his face on the cover of last year’s Madden 20, right? So the Madden 21 cover athlete should be fine?

And now we have Jackson addressing BOTH curses while speaking with Bleacher Report: “Two negatives make a positive!”

That’s perfect! Double negatives in sentences are positives, right? Check out his answer around the 2:55 mark:

‘Madden 21′ trailer features Chargers’ Austin Ekeler, Joey Bosa

Check out the trailer, where two members of the Los Angeles Chargers can be found.

EA Sports’ Madden NFL video games are one of the more highly anticipated games on a yearly basis.

While we still have a little over two months until Madden 21 is released, the developers gave us a preview of what to expect in the newest installment in the first trailer for the game.

In the trailer, Chargers running back Austin Ekeler and defensive end Joey Bosa are both featured.

Ekeler can be found at the 0:24 mark, while Bosa is seen at the 0:37 mark. Both players are spotted wearing the new uniforms and playing at SoFi Stadium, which is the new home to the Chargers and Rams.

Check it out:

Madden 21 is slated to be released on August 25, 2020.

The ‘Madden 21′ trailer gives a first look inside Raiders’ Las Vegas stadium

Awesome!

The Madden 21 trailer and cover dropped on Tuesday morning, starring Baltimore Ravens quarterback and MVP Lamar Jackson (although we knew that already).

And it’s in that trailer that we get a first view at what football will look like inside Allegiant Stadium, which we here at For The Win love already, whether it’s lit up, under a pink supermoon, or is the butt of Roomba jokes.

The first seconds show a view from the top inside the new Las Vegas stadium, with a (simulated) game going on inside. Blink and you’ll miss it, although some people made a video clip and a screen shot to help out:

It looks amazing!

LOOK: Lamar Jackson on the ‘Madden 21’ cover

After knowing Ravens QB Lamar Jackson was the Madden 21 cover athlete, we finally get to see what this year’s video game will look like.

[jwplayer lBPjlRuH-ThvAeFxT]

When Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson announced he was the latest cover athlete for “Madden 21,” it was no big shock for fans. After putting up an MVP season and leading the Ravens to the No. 1 seed in the AFC thanks to his electric play, Jackson was the easy choice to grace the cover of the video game franchise. While plenty of artists have mocked up what it might look like, we now have our first true look at Jackson on the cover of “Madden 21,” including the MVP edition of the game.

Courtesy EA SPORTS

Jackson won the MVP award last season after throwing for 3,127 yards and 36 touchdowns to just six interceptions. But Jackson isn’t just a traditional pocket passer, he broke Michael Vick’s single-season rushing record for quarterbacks with 1,206 rushing yards and another seven rushing touchdowns. His 6.9 yards-per-carry rushing average led the entire NFL last season, including over the league’s top running backs.

Jackson follows in the shoes of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who took the NFL by storm in 2018 en route to an MVP award and the cover of Madden 20. Baltimore fans are hoping Jackson continues to follow in Mahomes’ footsteps as the quarterback led Kansas City to a win in Super Bowl LIV over the San Francisco 49ers.

As NFL fans look forward to training camp and the eventual start of the 2020 regular season, those video game players have something else football related to look forward to. EA Sports is set to release “Madden 21,” another entry in the long-running video game franchise, on Aug. 25. While you can’t yet play cover athlete and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in this version, you can watch the new “Madden 21” trailer.

EA Sports has previously released little teasers for the game, including a “Madden 21” announcement trailer with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. However, none of the trailers or teasers have really shown off the gameplay or any of the new features from this year’s version of the game. That all ended today with the first “Madden 21” gameplay trailer that heavily features Jackson.

Jackson spoiled the reveal that he was the cover athlete for this year’s edition, telling reporters ahead of time during a video call. That earned a little joke from the publisher on Twitter.

It’s no surprise Jackson made the cover this year. He’s fresh off an MVP award-winning season in which he broke several franchise and NFL records. That includes the record for the most single-season rushing yards by a quarterback, last held by Michael Vick. Jackson led Baltimore to a 14-2 regular-season record and the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Even though last season didn’t end the way they wanted, the Ravens are once again favorites to win Super Bowl LV with Jackson under center.

Watch: The cover of Madden 21 goes to … Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson earns the honor of being on the cover of Madden 21.

The honor of being on the cover of Madden 21 goes to … Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

The NFL MVP led the Ravens to a 14-2 record in his second season out of Louisville. He was a dynamic dual-threat, setting the record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a season with 1,206, averaging almost seven yards per carry. He also threw for 3,127 yards and 36 touchdowns.
