AEW Rampage results 05/05/23: The Hardys delete The Firm

Get all the details on The Firm Deletion and much more on Rampage.

Few things, even in the wild world of pro wrestling, are as reliably off the rails as a cinematic match filmed at the Hardy Compound. And folks, we’ve got one tonight on AEW Rampage.

Matt and Jeff Hardy, along with Isiah Kassidy, are looking to rid themselves of their ties to The Firm for good, and they’ve enlisted some pretty good assistance in the form of Hook. We mean, he’s a heck of a lot better than Stokely Hathaway on the other side.

While there’s no telling what we might get in The Firm Deletion, you can be pretty darn sure that what’s in store during the show-opening trios match that features the Lucha Bros. teaming with the most exciting luchador on the planet right now.

Let’s get to it.

AEW Rampage results for May 5, 2023:

  • El Hijo del Vikingo and the Lucha Bros. def. Powerhouse Hobbs, QT Marshall and Aaron Solo by pinfall when Penta pins Solo
  • Footage is shown of MJF throwing an expletive-laced tirade on Dynamite after he realizes he’ll have to defend his title in a four-way match, but it cuts to commercial in the middle
  • Chris Jericho says he couldn’t be a commentator tonight because of the recent “unprovoked” attack by Adam Cole and says he’s working on assurances that Cole won’t be in the same building next week on Dynamite
  • Jade Cargill vs. Gia Scott by pinfall in a matter of about a minute
  • Mark Briscoe has a match to worry about, but Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett want him to call FTR and get them a tag team title shot at Double or Nothing

  • Julia Hart and Anna Jay used to be friends but now are definitely not, and will meet in the ring on Dynamite
  • A short video promo has Daniel Garcia and Orange Cassidy talking some smack to each other ahead of their title match next week
  • The Firm Deletion features: a time skip, fireworks, Ethan Page using a large tree branch as a weapon, Jeff Hardy choking Big Bill with a smaller branch, Stokely Hathaway seeing visions and nearly getting run over by a Power Wheels vehicle driven by Matt Hardy’s kids, Stoke getting tased in Matt’s home theater, Isiah Kassidy leaping off a garage, Stoke getting beaten up more by Matt’s family in their wrestling ring, and Page finally taking the pinfall before the winning team stands in the middle of a burning Jeff Hardy symbol

AEW Rampage results: Mark Briscoe announces Reach for the Sky ladder match

Get quick AEW Rampage results for March 10, 2023, with Action Andretti facing Sammy Guevara and Mark Briscoe making a special announcement.

Action Andretti might have Chris Jericho’s number, but that can’t necessarily be said about the rest of the Jericho Appreciation Society. That small but important distinction will come into play tonight, as he once again takes on Sammy Guevara on AEW Rampage.

You might say it’s because Sammy cheats. Jericho would say it’s because he wrestles smarter. Tomato, tomato. Oh wait that pun doesn’t work in print. But you get the idea.

We’ll also hear from Mark Briscoe and his idea for how to “move on” with the ROH World Tag Team Championship. That should be good.

Let’s take a quick spin through everything Rampage had in store on this fine Friday.

AEW Rampage results:

  • Sammy Guevara def. Action Andretti by pinfall with some help from Daniel Garcia
  • Darby Allin says his problem is he’s just a little too real and too crazy for people, but he has some things he still wants to do in AEW and might check one off next week

AEW Rampage results: Final pieces in place for Revolution

Get AEW Rampage results for March 3, 2023 from San Francisco, the final show before AEW Revolution.

San Francisco, what’s up? Well, lots of AEW, for one thing. The promotion has been there since mid-week, holding Dynamite and now Rampage, both live, before finishing with Revolution on Sunday night.

Because of the PPV looming, this is an especially packed Rampage card. It starts with a four-way tag team match that should be lots of fun, with Top Flight, Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds and John Silver, BCC’s Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta, and Aussie Open all doing battle.

Two men who both have beef with the same guy, Keith Lee and Dustin Rhodes, will tag up against that guy, Swerve Strickland, and his Mogul Affiliate henchman Parker Boudreaux.

There are singles matches in store too. Riho and Emi Sakura, two of the few women not really wrapped up in the homegrown vs. invaders battle, will face off. And poor Serpentico will have to climb in the ring against Powerhouse Hobbs, something we don’t wish on our worst enemies.

Well, OK, yes we do. But only our very worst enemies.

Anyway, yes, this should be a fast-paced and entertaining hour of pro wrestling, and who knows? Maybe it’ll even set something up for the Revolution pre-show or something.

AEW Rampage results in 30 seconds:

  • Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta def. Top Flight, Aussie Open and Alex Reynolds and John Silver
  • The Jon Moxley and Hangman Adam Page promos from Dynamite are replayed and interspersed
  • Jack Perry says a fight isn’t enough to finish things with Christian Cage, and he’s going to put him in the ground … in The Final Burial
  • Riho def. Emi Sakura by pinfall
  • Ruby Soho, Saraya and Jamie Hayter all share short promos ahead of their AEW Women’s World Championship match at Revolution
  • Powerhouse Hobbs def. Serpentico by pinfall
  • Konosuke Takeshita tells Renee Paquette that he keeps falling short and might need to go back to Japan, but Don Callis asks for a little of his time before he does it
  • Mark Briscoe feels good, he feels strong, and the Lucha Bros. will have his back against Mark Sterling’s goons on the Revolution pre-show
  • Dustin Rhodes and Keith Lee def. Swerve Strickland and Parker Boudreaux by pinfall
  • Ricky Starks attacks Chris Jericho at the announce table, ending the show with the brawl still in progress
