Analyzing Tuesday’s LSU at Kentucky odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The LSU Tigers (12-1, 1-0 SEC) meet the No. 25 Kentucky Wildcats (9-4, 0-1) Tuesday at Rupp Arena in Lexington. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the LSU vs. Kentucky odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings courtesy of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

The Tigers picked up a signature 60-57 win over Arkansas at Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge last time out Wednesday. After playing a little bit of a soft non-conference schedule, it was uncertain how LSU would fare. It passed the big first test with flying colors.

The Wildcats suffered a stunning 89-75 loss at Mizzou Wednesday, but they bounced back with an 86-63 rout of rival Louisville at Rupp Saturday. Kentucky pushed as 23-point favorites in that victory and is now 0-6-1 ATS across the past 7 games overall.

LSU at Kentucky picks and predictions

Prediction

Kentucky 69, LSU 66

Moneyline

Kentucky (-475) is probably the right side here, but there is no way you can risk nearly 5 times your potential return on the home team.

PASS.

Against the spread

LSU +9.5 (-115) is a solid play, as it should be able to keep this game within single digits. The Tigers are 5-1 ATS in the past 6 games on the road while going 4-1 ATS in the past 5 against teams with a winning record.

Kentucky has struggled against the number, going 0-6-1 ATS in the past 7 games overall and 0-5-1 ATS in the past 6 games at Rupp. It has also failed to cover in each of the past 5 against teams with a winning record.

Over/Under

UNDER 138.5 (-115) is worth a look.

The Under has connected at a 4-1-1 clip in the past 6 games overall for the Tigers while going 4-1 in the past 5 against teams with a winning record.

The Under is also 5-2 in the past 7 games at home for the Wildcats while hitting at a 4-1 clip in the previous 5 after a straight-up win last time out.

LSU at Kentucky odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s LSU Tigers at Kentucky Wildcats odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets in an SEC battle.

The LSU Tigers (19-8, 7-7 SEC) visit the No. 3 Kentucky Wildcats (22-5, 11-3) Wednesday for a 9 p.m. ET tip (ESPN). Below, we look at the LSU vs. Kentucky odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

LSU is coming off a 77-75 road loss at South Carolina Saturday. The Tigers failed to cover as 4.5-point favorites and are now 3-7 against the spread (ATS) over their last 10 games.

On the season though, they’re 16-11 ATS, but they’re just 6-8 ATS in conference play, as are the Wildcats.

Despite winning eight of their last 10, the Wildcats are just 4-6 ATS over that span. They’re not much better on the season, just 13-14. Even at home, where they’re undefeated (16-0), the ‘Cats are just 9-7 ATS.

LSU at Kentucky odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Kentucky 76, LSU 71

Money line

PASS.

As mentioned, Kentucky is a perfect 16-0 at home, and although it’ll likely be without two key playmakers, it found a way to take care of business against Alabama and should do the same against LSU.

But at -340, it’s not worth the risk.

Against the spread

BET LSU +7.5 (-110).

Kentucky beat now-No. 25 Alabama 90-81 at Rupp Arena Saturday. The Wildcats managed to cover as 5.5-point home favorites after being down double digits in the first half, but they needed all 7 of G Kellan Grady’s 3’s – he was 7-for-9 from long distance as the Wildcats finished 9-for-14 (64.3%) from deep.

Assuming the Wildcats regress to the mean and are still without their top two perimeter defenders in G Sahvir Wheeler (wrist) and G TyTy Washington (ankle), the Tigers should be able to hang close.

LSU also has a top-tier defense, which should counterattack Kentucky’s offense, which is ranked ninth in the nation, averaging 80.9 points per game.

LSU ranks seventh in opponents’ field-goal percentage (38.1%) and sixth in opponents’ 3-point rate (28.2%), so Grady might struggle to get going like he did Saturday.

With the Kentucky possibly out two of its top five scorers against the best defense in the SEC, and both teams having struggled to cover lately, I’ll take the one that’s been far better on the season at cashing winning tickets.

That’s LSU +7.5 (-110).

Over/Under

LEAN to the OVER 142.5 (-115).

While LSU has a thriving defense and has gone Under in 17 of 27 games, it’s been a drastically different story recently.

The Tigers held three of their last four opponents Under 69 points, but LSU is 7-1 O/U in its last eight games.

The Wildcats own a 13-14 O/U record for the season, and are 5-5 O/U across their last 10 games. They’ve scored 78 or more points in three of their last four.

Both teams are 7-7 O/U in conference play.

LSU at Kentucky odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s LSU at Kentucky odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

On an action-packed Saturday, the LSU Tigers (3-2) travel north to take on the Kentucky Wildcats (5-0). The game is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be held at Kroger Field. Below, we look at the LSU at Kentucky odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.

Coming off arguably their biggest victory in the past decade, the Kentucky Wildcats will get to lace back up under the bright lights of Kroger Field, where they knocked off the Florida Gators last weekend.

The Wildcats are still undefeated and will look to keep it that way before they head down to Athens next weekend. Kentucky sits at No. 14 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.

As for LSU, it hasn’t been even close to the level it obtained when former first-round picks Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, and Joe Burrow were on the roster back in 2019.

However, the program does have a quality win over Mississippi State, who just took down Texas A&M. The Tigers are led by former four-star recruit, Max Johnson.

LSU at Kentucky odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Kentucky 27, LSU 21

Money line

PASS on the money line. I think Kentucky will come out on top, but the -140 isn’t great value.

The LSU +115 is the better value on the money line as Kentucky has scraped by in many of its wins with its offense struggling mightily. However, I’d still look to the points in this one.

Against the spread

“LEAN” to KENTUCKY -2.5 (-115) as the best value.

It’s entering this match 5-0, and while they certainly weren’t all pretty victories, the Cats have gotten the job done. They’ve won all five of their games by at least three points.

Yes, their offense is struggling, ranking 11th in the SEC in passing. However, they held Florida to just 13, something Alabama couldn’t even accomplish.

The defense is legit, and with LSU coming off a loss and having to travel to Lexington, I think the crowd will once again be rocking, playing at least some factor in the outcome.

Over/Under

BET on the UNDER 50.5 (-108) as the best value in this game.

Kentucky is tied for the 78th-most points per game. That’s not good. Penn State transfer Will Levis started off the season hot but has since disappointed.

The Cats have been carried by their elite defense, allowing under a 40 percent third-down conversation rate. They also rank 36th in the FBS in rushing, expect them to leave the ball on the ground plenty, which should help run down the clock.

As for LSU, it ranks 19th in passing yards per game. If Kentucky can make it difficult for Johnson, this will be another low-scoring affair. Cats rank 26th in opponent’s passing yards.

Combine everything, and Under 51 looks to be the best value on the table.
