It’s hard to believe we’ve already reached the final week of the regular season, but luckily, there could still be a lot of meaningful football in LSU’s future.

The Tigers are locked into the SEC Championship against Georgia, and if they win out, they’ll likely be heading to the College Football Playoff. For any of that to be a possibility, LSU needs to get past Texas A&M this week.

The Aggies have had a disappointing season, having snapped a six-game losing streak against UMass last week. At 4-7, this team can’t reach bowl eligibility, but it does have the opportunity to play spoiler against the Tigers.

Coach Brian Kelly’s team sits at 8-2 on the year and has already clinched the SEC West title after a win at Arkansas last week. Now, this team has the College Football Playoff on its mind as it will look to win out and become the first two-loss team to make the final four.

For that to happen, LSU will need to beat Texas A&M on the road in the finale and then No. 1 Georgia in the SEC Championship. But first, the Tigers have to get past a 5-5 Blazers team led by an interim coach in Bryant Vincent.

Here’s how our staff sees Saturday’s road trip to Fayetteville playing out.

The Tigers now have the target on their back after last Saturday’s win against Alabama. LSU is the team to beat in the SEC West, and it could clinch the division as soon as this weekend with a bit of help from the Crimson Tide.

Arkansas will hope to interrupt that progress and hold onto the Golden Boot for another year as the Tigers come to Fayetteville for an 11 a.m. CT kickoff in Week 11 on Saturday. The Razorbacks enter this one with a winning record at 5-4, though it’s been a bit of a disappointing season.

The Hogs are coming off a loss to Liberty at home in their last outing, but they’ll look to pull off an upset against the division frontrunner and newly crowned College Football Playoff contender.
