In case you are looking for some betting advice prior to the Ohio State, Loyola-Chicago NCAA Tournament matchup.

The Ohio State basketball team plays the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers on Friday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet at Tipico Sportsbook.

It all goes down at 12:15 p.m EDT and can be seen on CBS.

After a major slide at the end of the year, Ohio State looks to pick itself up and make a run in the postseason. It’s March, so creating a little mayhem and madness wouldn’t be a bad thing for the Buckeyes. Ohio State finished in fifth place in the Big Ten and got bounced out of the Big Ten Tournament early. Now it’ll look to start a new season with some rest — and hopefully — some guys back from injury.

Oh, and to do it, the Buckeyes will have to swim upstream against Sister Jean and the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers.

Ohio State vs. Loyola-Chicago NCAA Tournament matchup: Lineups, injury reports and broadcast info

Looking for the Ohio State game? Here’s everything you need to know.

OK, it’s time. After a very up and down season (mostly down to end the year), the Ohio State basketball team starts what it hopes will be a run in the NCAA Tournament on Friday. If it wasn’t bad enough the Buckeyes lost four of its last five and smoked and sputtered out of the Big Ten Tournament early, but now it now must face media darling, Loyola-Chicago, and Sister Jean.

It’s not the best of matchups you’d hope for trying to break the seal on all the March madness, but it’s the hand that Ohio State has been dealt largely because of a shuffling of the deck that was its own doing.

We’re still waiting to see how healthy and rested this team is, how the game plan unfolds, and what Buckeye squad will show up. No matter how you look at it though, it’s the NCAA Tournament, so we know you’ll be watching. We’ve got everything you need to know to find the game and root for OSU to make a little noise and create a little mayhem.

Ohio State a slight favorite over Loyola-Chicago early in the week

Do you think this is about right?

Despite the picks of many of the so-called experts in college basketball, Ohio State is a slight, slight favorite as far as the oddsmakers are concerned in its matchup with Loyola-Chicago in its first game of the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

We’ll have more on this later in the week, but as it stands a few days prior to the game, the Buckeyes are a slight 1.5 point favorite to beat the Ramblers according to Tipico Sportsbook. The two will match up at approximately 12:15 p.m. EDT in Pittsburgh on Friday.

It’s neither team’s flash-in-the-pan moment. OSU has made — or would have made (2020 pandemic cancellation) — five straight NCAA appearances. Loyola, as you will recall, had a magical run to the Final Four in 2018 and followed that up with a Sweet 16 appearance during last year’s NCAA Tournament.

We will keep an eye on this line as the week progresses because it has already moved slightly with other sportsbooks. The availability of some of OSU’s players that have been in and out of the lineup should have at least a modest effect on where the odds go.
