Lost Ark offers extra Founders Pack rewards to encourage server transfers

Get more goodies for swapping worlds.

Anyone that got in on Lost Ark’s early access period via the Founders Pack is eligible for more goodies. After moving to a new server, that is.

A Thursday post on Lost Ark’s website explains that the development team is trying to alleviate the ongoing server queue issues by offering players an opportunity to switch to lower-population servers. The trouble is, folks are reluctant with transfers since they might lose those Founder’s Pack rewards — well, that’s no longer an issue.

“Players have let us know one of the reasons they are reluctant to switch to lower population servers is because many of them have already redeemed their Founder’s Packs on another server,” reads the statement. “To help combat this and make exploring new servers a more reasonable choice, we will be granting ALL Founder’s Pack purchasers that redeem their pack by Monday.”

That’s right, the Lost Ark Founders Pack will be redeemable until Feb. 14 at 12 P.M. PDT // 3 P.M. EDT for existing owners.

All Founder’s Pack rewards will be in your inventory on the new server if you take up this semi-promotion. Keep in mind this is a one-time grant after transferring.

Lost Ark’s free-to-play component was supposed to launch Friday morning, but Amazon Games delayed it at the last minute. That could change soon, but if not, at least the development team is keen on making sure things go over as smoothly as possible.

Lost Ark’s free-to-play launch has been delayed

The MMORPG needs a bit more time.

Amazon Games and Smilegate have delayed Lost Ark’s launch.

The action MMORPG was staggeringly successful during its early access period, to the point that the development team is holding off on launching the free-to-play component for now.

“Unfortunately, due to deployment issues, launch is delayed. We hope to have this resolved in a matter of hours,” reads a statement on Twitter. “Your patience is appreciated and we’ll update you soon.”

Launch issues are bound to happen with popular MMORPGs. Steam could barely keep up with Lost Ark’s downloads and pre-loads earlier this week. Who knew “suffering from success” was totally valid!

Lost Ark server queues are making fans go wild

Memes galore.

Every MMORPG worth its salt goes through server issues, and now it’s Lost Ark’s  turn!

While  Steam servers struggle  with demand during Lost Ark’s  early access period, Amazon Games and developer Smilegate are hard at work ensuring everything doesn’t come crashing down. Sure, there are plenty of “connection lost” reports and staggeringly-long login queues, but hey, Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker  went through the same recently, and folks like that one. (It’s me, I’m ‘folks’)

Should you be one of the many currently suffering through any of the aforementioned issues, Lost Ark  director Keum Kang Sun has some words of wisdom in the clip below.

All the patience in the world won’t stop Lost Ark’s  community from going bananas during early access, though. Below, you’ll find some of the more knee-slap-worthy reactions. It’s all done out of love, believe it or not!

Lost Ark: All server locations for western launch

Amazon is adding servers as player counts rise.

Lost Ark might still only be in early access, but the MMORPG is  smashing success. Picking the ideal server for your hack-and-slash escapades can be tricky, though — which is why we’re here to help.

Considering Lost Ark’s  speedy pace, you should choose whatever server is nearby. Unlike Final Fantasy 14  or World of WarcraftNorth America is split into two regions in Lost Ark. It’s important to keep this in mind if you want to play with friends since there is no cross-server play in Lost Ark, even if everyone is in the same region. There’s also a nifty server status page here.

Lost Ark server list by region

West North America

  • Mari
  • Enviska
  • Valtan

East North America

  • Galatur
  • Azena
  • Karmine
  • Una
  • Karta
  • Ladon
  • Regulus
  • Avesta

Central Europe

  • Kadan
  • Zinnervale
  • Asta
  • Trixion
  • Calvasus
  • Thirain
  • Neria
  • Wei
  • Sceptrum
  • Slen
  • Procyon

South America

  • Agaton
  • Kazeros

Amazon Games is slowly opening more servers as Lost Ark  grows in popularity, with Karmine being the latest example. The game is  crushing Steam right now, so hold tight if queues or download speeds are an issue for you. After all, it’s almost a right of passage for an MMORPG to have a  slightly rough launch. Hard to predict how shaky things might get once Lost Ark  leaves early access in a few days.

Steam servers struggle with Lost Ark’s monstrously successful launch

Valve’s platform is buckling a bit under Amazon’s successful MMORPG.

Lost Ark  is already a runaway hit, as it’s bringing Steam server download speeds to a crawl.

Early Access for Lost Ark  began on Tuesday, and Steam is struggling to keep up due to the  ridiculous number of players  trying to pre-load the  free-to-play  phenomenon at once. Amazon Games  is in talks with  Valve over potential solutions.

“Steam is aware of it and is actively looking into the issue and we will update players as soon as we have additional information,” Amazon Games said on Twitter. “The current download issues on Steam are impacting all players, including content creators as well. We’ll keep players in the loop as Steam continues to resolve this.”

The Lost Ark  team claims things are getting better and that they will continue to monitor the situation.

MMORPGs having rough launches is nothing new. In December, Final Fantasy 14  had server queue waits so bad that it would make any Disneyland ride lineup seem short. Square Enix even  stopped selling the game  for a while. So Lost Ark  is by no means an outlier here; heck, it’s holding up well if the  positive  reception on Steam is any indication.

Lost Ark leaves early access on Feb. 11, when it’ll go completely free for everyone.
