Prediction

Pacers 105, Lakers 102

Moneyline (ML)

Davis, typically listed as probable, seems a little more doubtful for Tuesday’s contest. He reportedly has been pushing to play, but the Lakers (-182) have rung up seven straight wins and hold a 4.5-game lead atop the Western Conference. There is little need to risk his health this early in the season. Los Angeles has lost just one of 15 road games, but the PACERS (+150) are 11-3 on their home court and offer good value against the potentially undermanned team from LA.

Indiana has won three straight outright, including a 107-85 blowout of the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. LA’s last two victories were played within five-point margins, and they’re likely looking ahead to Thursday’s marquee matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. Take the Pacers.

Against the Spread (ATS)

The moneyline is a much more rewarding play, but the PACERS (+3.5, -106) are still getting adequate value on the spread while needing to stay within 3 points in a loss, or win outright. The Lakers are 16-11 against the spread overall and 8-7 ATS on the road. The Pacers are 15-11 overall and 8-5 at home.

Over/Under (O/U)

The projected total is 210.5. The Lakers are 12-15 against the Over/Under and fall an average of 1.7 points below the line. The Pacers are 11-15-1 and play 0.6 points below the projections on average.

Take the UNDER 210.5 (-106) with the Lakers not at full health.
