WATCH: Sooner Nation rushes the Lloyd Noble floor after upset win over No. 2 Alabama

Sooner Nation packed the Lloyd Noble Center and celebrated at center court after the Oklahoma Sooners stunned No. 2 Alabama.

The scene matched the moment as the Oklahoma Sooners stunned the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide in front of a raucous crowd at the Lloyd Noble Center. The Sooners came away with a 93-69 win over the Crimson Tide with a fantastic shooting performance and a defensive effort that lasted a full 40 minutes.

The fans in attendance were fantastic the entire way, showing up for the Sooners taking on a top-five Alabama team in the Big 12-SEC challenge. In arguably the best basketball conference in the nation, Oklahoma hasn’t had the crowd to help provide a home-court advantage in most matchups, but that wasn’t the case on Saturday. And the home crowd was rewarded with a stellar performance.

For showing up and showing out, the Sooners fans in attendance celebrated on the Lloyd Noble court.

Absolute pandemonium unfolded as the final buzzer sounded, and the Sooners got to enjoy a home basketball environment that is the essence of college basketball. With a schedule fraught with great basketball teams coming to Norman, here’s hoping Sooner Nation can match the atmosphere they created at the Lloyd Noble Center on Saturday.

Oklahoma basketball selling season tickets, still planning on 25 percent capacity

With the season just over two weeks away, Oklahoma has announced they are selling a limited number of season ticket plans.

Oklahoma basketball tips off in just over two weeks when the Sooners host UTSA at the Lloyd Noble Center.

With the season nearing, it was announced today that a limited number of season tickets would be sold to fans. The tickets will range anywhere from $270 to $575 per seat.

It was announced a couple of weeks ago that Oklahoma was planning on a 25 percent fan capacity at games this season, and that was reinforced today as still being the plan going forward – although it is always subject to change.

Some notable home games for the Sooners this season include SEC teams Florida and Alabama, as well as the entire Big 12 conference as per usual.

The selling of season ticket plans, albeit in a limited fashion, is a good sign for college basketball fans hoping for the season to begin on its scheduled November 25th.

With now every power five college football conference in action, college basketball seems ready to join the party in a matter of a couple of weeks.

Oklahoma basketball is expecting a 25 percent capacity at home games

Oklahoma Sooners basketball has announced a plan to have 25 percent capacity at home games this season.

Oklahoma Sooners basketball released their 2020-21 non-conference schedule this evening, and along with that has come the attendance plans for this season at the Lloyd Noble Center.

Unsurprisingly, Oklahoma will be operating at a reduced fan capacity for the season. Using the advice of medical experts, they have elected to operate at fan capacity of 25 percent for games this year.

Lloyd Noble Center’s listed capacity comes in at 11,528 – so the approximate amount at one-quarter full would be 2,882 fans.

Sooner football games have operated at the same number, 25 percent, and that has been a fairly common number used by both professional sports teams and colleges alike when hosting fans amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Full details on gameday operations and procedures will be released soon.

Prediction

Kansas 69, Oklahoma 60

Moneyline (ML)

Kansas is ranked 18th in the country in opponent’s field-goal percentage and the Sooners are ranked 215th in offensive FG%. Oklahoma is even worse from deep, ranking 254th in 3-point %, and Kansas ranks 52nd in opponents 3-point %. But Kansas’ -250 on the moneyline is crummy value and, because of its elite defense and Oklahoma’s lackluster offense, but I don’t like the Sooners’ +200 either. PASS on the moneyline.

Against the Spread (ATS)

Despite an 11-4 overall record, Oklahoma has been bad against the spread this season with a 5-10 ATS mark. The Sooners haven’t taken advantage of home-court advantage lately either as they’re 0-6 ATS in the last six home games. Also, Oklahoma doesn’t play well against good competition; its ATS record is 1-5 (0-3 at home) vs. teams above .500. However, Kansas is 2-0 ATS when laying 5-7 points and are 2-1 ATS against teams above .500. Take KANSAS (-6.5, +105).

Over/Under (O/U)

Trends and each team’s Over/Under record – Kansas is 4-10 O/U and Oklahoma is 7-8 – dictate betting UNDER 139.5 (-134). The Under is 5-0 in Kansas’s last five games, 6-0 in its last six games as a road favorite and 3-0 in road games this season. Oklahoma’s home games tend to play Under as well, going 2-4. It might be a lot of vig to swallow at -134, but that’s BetMGM trying to price you out of betting a likely outcome.
