A.J. Brown tells ESPN’s Lisa Salters that he’ll miss a couple weeks with a hamstring injury

Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown told Lisa Salters of ESPN that he’ll miss a few weeks with a hamstring injury

The NFL season is a marathon, and with the Philadelphia Eagles chasing a Super Bowl berth, the team will be careful with injured All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown.

Adam Schefter reports that Brown told Lisa Salters that he’ll miss a few weeks with the hamstring injury he suffered in Friday’s practice.

Brown was dynamic in his Week 1 matchup with the Packers’ Jaire Alexander, logging five catches for 119 yards and one touchdown. DeVonta Smith had seven catches for 84 yards.

Broadcast team announced for Week 2 Vikings vs Eagles

The top broadcast crew for ESPN will be live in Philadelphia Monday night

The Minnesota Vikings take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night at a special kickoff time of 7:30 central time.

Similar to prior years, the league has one week where they have a double header on Monday night but this year provided two changes.

Instead of having the games on week one where they have a high rating anyway due to the excitement of football being back, they moved it to week two where that initial wave is lessened.

The other change is that instead of having games go back-to-back, they will be running concurrently with the Titans vs Bills kicking off at 6:15 central time.

With there being two Monday night games, there was some worry that the Vikings and Eagles wouldn’t be getting the top broadcast crew in Joe Buck and Troy Aikman but they are getting just that.

Buck has been public enemy number one at times for Vikings fans but long gone are the days of the Randy Moss moon call. His call off the Minneapolis Miracle will forever be one of the best in the history of football.

Get excited for Monday night Vikings fans.

ESPN analyst Jeff Van Gundy has tested …

ESPN analyst Jeff Van Gundy has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss Game 1 of the NBA Finals, an ESPN official told The Athletic on Thursday. The news comes after Hall of Fame broadcaster Mike Breen missed Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals due to COVID-19. Van Gundy was also on the broadcast team for the Heat-Celtics series. Van Gundy was scheduled to call this week’s NBA Finals for the 16th time in his career, alongside Breen, Mark Jackson and sideline reporter Lisa Salters.

Beth Mowins made ESPN history in 2017 …

Beth Mowins made ESPN history in 2017 when she was the first woman to call a “Monday Night Football” game. She will again be part of a network first when ESPN produces an NBA game announced and directed by all women. Mowins will work the Golden State Warriors-Utah Jazz game with analyst Doris Burke and reporter Lisa Salters on Wednesday (10 p.m. ET, ESPN). In addition, 33 other women will handle production roles on site in Salt Lake City and in the control room from ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut. “I think it’s exciting to kind of celebrate,” Mowins said. “There are a lot of the women that have been around the league for a while, and then others like me that are kind of new to it.”
